Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

Funny Friday TGIF

Here is to another week in the history books and it was a good one. We had a nice rain on Wednesday which all of the plants appreciated. I am looking forward to the visit of an old friend. I guess it has been about three years since we last got together.  I’m looking forward to a weekend of catching up and relaxing. Still doing the edits on Circumstances of Childhood and am pretty pleased how it is coming out. The beta readers did a swell job on finding the weak points so all in all, I’m grateful to them. This book has me quite nervous as it stretches a few boundaries in style and point of view. I suppose I will just have to tough it through and hope the reader will enjoy it. I think another reason I’m a little nervous since I enjoyed writing this book and just hope it is not too self-indulgent. Time will tell.

This week’s JohnKu is about friendship. I hope you all have a  beautiful weekend.

A number of years,

Not always in the same town. . .

Yet soul connected.

Who cares if your book is self-indulgent? It’s your book! Your name is on it. Fill with what you like!

Time spent with old friends is the best. Relax and enjoy yourself, John. You deserve it. As for the meme….BEST ONE EVER! I love it!

Even us retirees strive to get to Friday! It’s en-grained into our Nature, I think.

I do too, GP. I have been “retired” for five years and still find the day rewarding. Thanks.

Those are some wonderful dogs. I’m sure the book will be wonderful. Have you been hanging out with Doubt the raven?

Yes. He has been perched on my shoulder the whole time. (messy little bugger too.)

Beautiful! I love the way friendships are always there and we can just pick up where we left off after a long period of not seeing each other. Have a wonderful weekend, John.

I think we all second guess ourselves and worry when we get close to releasing something.

I’m sure the book will be wonderful. Enjoy the reunion with your friend. It’s always fun to catch up with someone we haven’t seen in a while!

I can relate to your JohnKu this week — I love having new friends, but sometimes we just need those *old* friends — the ones who’ve been with us through thick and thin. Enjoy your visit and don’t fret over the book!
