Friday John Ku – AKA – TGIF

Funny Friday

Friday is here again, and I am pleased to say we finally have internet. This now means I can no longer write off typos as something associated with Hurricane Harvey. This is sad because of all the things Harvey messed up, the only positive thing to come out was a way to effectively blame something else for typos.  I guess I’ll have to go back to owning the mistakes. This is the weekend of the launch of Circumstances of Childhood. I think everything is ready. Today’s John Ku talks about how quiet it is before a major event. I hope you all have a great weekend. (I’ll be watching cat videos on YouTube.)

The Quiet by John W. Howell © 2017

Ever notice just before,

A major event kicks off . . .

There’s a kind of hush.

  1. Hurray for Internet! I’d still try to milk that typo excuse for as long as you can. 😜

    1. I know right? You should see one of the notes I sent. Arggggg.

      1. I sense it was terrible and shall never be mentioned again.

  2. Congratulations on getting your internet back! All the best on your book launch. I love the meme today. 😀 — Suzanne

    1. I thought the meme spoke to the rebel in each of us. Thanks, Suzanne.

  3. Gwen Plano · ·

Gosh, you are right about the “hush”…time standing still ever so briefly. Congratulations on your launch; may it be fantastic! 🙂

  4. Congrats, John. “The Return of the Internet” & “Launch Weekend” – some might think about Jedi knights and rockets, others think about celebrating with you. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Karen. 🙂

  5. Well now you’ve gone and got that song stuck in my head. I’d say you should switch to videos of lovers in love but your producer might object. Stick with the kittens. Glad you’re back on the net. I hope the other repairs are proceeding.

    Good luck with the launch!

    1. I know what you mean. “All over the world for lovers in love.” 😀

  6. It’s nice to hear you’re up and running. John. Wishing you the best with the launch! Happy Friday!

    1. Thanks, Jill. 😀

  7. Absolutely – right before a big snowstorm…and the launch of a book. Enjoy the hush before the rash. Whoops, typo. Before the rush. 🙂 🙂

    1. Liked rash better. Good descriptor. 🙂
