“You called Boss?”
“Yes, Lucy. It’s time for your morning walk.”
“Hold on, Boss. Have you been out there today?
“Yes. It is a little chilly.”
“Pops. Sixty degrees are a little chilly. It is thirty degrees right now.”
“Come on. How do you know that, Bailey?”
“You’re kidding, right? I’m a dog. It’s in my DNA to know what is going on outside all the time.”
“Do you agree, Lucy?”
“Well, as I take a sniff of the downstairs exit I can sense some cold air.”
“You guys are like the biggest chickens. It will do you good to get some fresh air. You laid around all day yesterday.”
“Well, there were reasons Boss.”
“Like what kind of reasons?”
“It was a Tuesday. On Tuesday Bailey and I like to lay around.”
“I know. I got a photo of you two.”
“Let me look, Boss. Oh, I see there is some sunshine.”
“See there you are. Come look Bailey. You’ll like it.”
“Um. In a minute, Pops. I need to do some creative thinking.”
“I can imagine, Bailey. How about you Lucy?”
“You know, Boss. Right now I’m good. Let me rest in this ray of death for a minute.”
“So maybe we’ll go for a walk later?”
“We’ll get back to you on that, Boss.”
“How about if I get out your blankets?”
“Now you’re talking, Boss.”
“Way to go, Pops.”
“You ladies look cute.”
“Why thank you. (As if we didn’t know. Right, Bailey?)”
“Right.”

LOL! I love their fancy coats, John! They still don’t look very enthused about venturing out into the cold. Stay warm!

Mine too! Thankfully no snow, but boy is it cold. The worst I’ve ever felt it here in Charlotte. 😂

Not back yet – we fly out of Cancun at 9 tonight and land in Toronto around 1am tomorrow. I couldn’t miss an episode with Lucy and Bailey. Temperatures at home are around -18 F, so your 30 F sounds pretty nice by comparison! Hola!

LOL…they looks so sweet in their coats. We are at about -15 celsius here today, tomorrow with the wind chill, about -28C. Sounds balmy where you are!

They are such cuties. 30 would be the warmer than it’s been here for almost two weeks, but t must be cold for those two beach babes.

Give the girls some snuggles from me and try to stay warm in this crazy weather!

Mine will follow a ray of sunshine all across the floor on cold mornings. All they need for those horse blankets are a couple of matching feedbags for treats.

It hit -15F last night, so I went check on Scooter early this morning. He has an outside run and a kennel inside the shed with a small door in-between. The kennel has a thick mat of fresh straw and a heat lamp. So where was he? Sleeping outside in the snow.

Ha ha ha. So much for modern conveniences. The snow would be warm compared to -15.

Smart girls waiting for their coats. They look like they’re ready for the fashion runway 🙂
The thirties would be a heat wave for us at the moment, but it’s devastating to think such cold air could slither into your beautiful beach community. Stay warm!

Those doggins look stylish in their coats, and they need them in this cold. Dallas, with his double coat, just goes outside and rolls in the snow!

Ha ha, John. Lucy and Bailey are like South Africans. At the first sign of cold weather we hole up in our houses in hibernation mode. I won’t even go into how badly we react to a bit of rain!

Chilly here in Florida. Two nights in a row with 8 hours below 32 degrees. My three dogs were anxious to go out the first night until they realized it was cold. They rushed in and cuddled up on my big dog’s dog bed together to warm up. Wimpy Florida dogs.

These are made by horse blanket folks so putting on and off are very easy. Two velcro straps. They don’t even know it is being done.

They are too cute, John, and love their coats! Here in northern CA. we’re finally getting rain, but then it’s back in the low 60’s, so no, not too cold. Tonight, our son heads to DC for his internship, so he’ll get a bigger taste of the real cold. 🙂

I would say he will. I remember the rain in Northern California. Was substantial. We lived for a while on a hill and I always worried we would slide down. Was glad to move to Sonoma where the city was flat.

It’s been pretty dry, so the rains are welcomed. No floods yet. We’re not on a hill, so no worries of sliding. And we love Sonoma, but then when the northern Cal. fires hit in October, that gave all another scare. We’re about an hour south of Sonoma. 🙂
