Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

“Okay, Twiggy time to get moving it’s Friday”

Another Friday is upon us. Here’s wishing you all a lovely weekend. I was supposed to be in McKinney Texas at a book festival. Unfortunately, there is a lot of rain expected in the area (near Dallas). Rain tends to cut down on attendance, so the event was postponed until next June. I was looking forward to this event but can fully understand the organizer’s need to put it off. It would not be a good thing to have a bunch of authors travel to the location and have no readers show up. Today’s JohnKu talks about change.

True disappointment.

  1. Sorry about the book festival, John. Twiggy looks just as disappointed. Well, now you can enjoy your weekend with the “Producer” and the fur babies. 🙂

What a bummer. “The best-laid plans” are no match for the weather. On the bright side, the weekend is yours to enjoy with your lovely ladies Sweet Twiggy appears to need some extra cuddles. 🙂

That’s very true of getting excited and ready for an event and having it canceled or postponed. But that only means it will be twice as good in June:) Have a great weekend John!

  10. I’m right with you on that one, John. I too am disappointed, but I do think it was a wise decision. It rained last year for the first McKinney book festival and we had no foot traffic. I was mostly looking forward to meeting you in person and having a glass of wine.

  12. I can see this would be a disappointment, but better this way than a bigger disappointment of not having people show up. Now you can enjoy your weekend without the necessity of travel!

  14. Sorry to hear of the cancellation, but I’ve been an author at a book signing festival where weather kept readers from showing up and it was no fun 😦
    Here’s to next June!
    Happy Friday, John!
