First, a note of appreciation to our veterans. Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice
I have to admit there was nothing going on in Port Aransas this week. I have wanted to do a pool feature for a while. Could I do it in the summer when the water is blue, the temperatures in the 90s, and there are tons of happy people around the pool? No, of course not. Needed to wait for a rainy, cloudy, and in the 50’s. Put on your overcoat and come with me.
Here is the entrance to the pool at Cinnamon Shores the biggest community in the area.
This is an infinity pool. There is a pond in the background.
Mustang Royale is a community next to where I live.
The pool is a little smaller than the last.

Thanks for the cool pool tour, John. I agree, the Palmilla Beach Resort looks nice, but I’m drawn to the infinity pool, too. Thank you to all of the veterans would have served and those who continue to serve our great county. God Bless America!

Just plain cruel John. It’s bloody November in London. Pools here are also known as puddles…

Thank you for the tour, John. I love the infinity pool. I’ve never had or lived by a pool, but I live by a lake and love seeing the water. Have a wonderful day. Hope the sun comes out soon!

Looks like an all day overcast situation. Hope your day is sunny.

My day is overcast and very cold. Still, I’ll be heading to the Veterans’ Day parade this morning. Wouldn’t miss it. 🙂

Nice collection of pools. For some reason, 83 degree water doesn’t sound that bad to me.

We are so weakend by the tropical temperatures that any temp below 70 degrees F is like winter.

Just looking at these pictures, when it’s 45 outside, makes me shiver – even with the heat on here! 🙂
Have a wonderful Sunday,

We have not had the heat on yet. Still in the upper 50’s

During the week, we’re supposed to get three nights (well) below 32 degrees.

UGH. I’m glad the Gulf is here. (Keeps us warmer)

Well, but it also makes for quite some humidity (for most of the year). Here, btw, we have a freeze warning for the next few nights!

Yikes. Get that woodburning thingy going.

I probably should. But I’m leery to go outside and get kindling and wood. I was outside two hours ago to protect the faucets, and it was brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Well, you do know that the ancient Germanic tribes always longed for the warmer climate, at times conquering Rome, and also making it as far as northern Africa!

Naw. It was the conquering that they enjoyed then back to the fatherland.

While it may seem strange to take us on a tour of the pools in cold weather, at least we could see the actual pool and not a sea of bodies. 🙂 Thanks John.

John,
So in essence, you were a ‘pool’ reporter for the sake of this post. . . 😉
I love the three story building in the shot of the Palmilla Beach resort! The thought of sipping on something tasty from the balcony . . . mmmmm.

I was going to caption that photo “A shot of my pool and pool houses,” but I thought someone might believe me. 😀

And all these are within walking distance?
Some pretty cool spots – even in this supposed “cold” temperature…

I think folks tend to cluster in the “cold” places. A quick skurry to the next place is good in winter.

How curious, dear John! There is the ocean next door and so many pools! You adore swimming in Port Aransas! By the way, is there any pet pool?
LikeLiked by 1 person
There is no pet pool except the plastic one in my backyard.

Nice tour! It looks warm anyway and there are no people to get in your way. Seems like a good day for it! Thanks for the inside tour of pools!

Yes, I do. I’m the proverbial child, and also the glass-half-full, perhaps the only pool-loving person who is excited about being close to the shortest day of the year. That means we’re close to the count-down to the longest day of the year. I know… but it works for me!

Yes. I always like to hit the winter short light day. Like you I know things will only get brighter from there.

Never been on a pool tour…it was lots of fun. I grew up next door to a pool and it didn’t have to be warm for me to swim:)

I had to laugh at the Infinity pool with the pond behind it. I’m reminded of Caddyshack “we have a pool, and a pond. The pond would be good for you.”
Our pools are all covered or drained.

We never have to cover or winterize pools here. Some folks use them al year.

These are beautiful photos, John, and I especially love the first one (infinity) with the homes on one side and the tables on the other. Just lovely. My childhood home had a pool, so I grew up loving to swim and these are all so inviting. Of course, not now while it’s 40 deg. outside. 🙂

I agree on the 40 degrees. Thanks, Lauren.

These are nice pools and on a hot summer day, they would be most welcoming. However, at a cool 30-degree day as we are having here, I will be having nothing to do with outside water. Any time of year, inside or out, I like my swim to be in water that is as warm as my bath.
