I have to admit there was nothing going on in Port Aransas this week. I have wanted to do a pool feature for a while. Could I do it in the summer when the water is blue, the temperatures in the 90s, and there are tons of happy people around the pool? No, of course not. Needed to wait for a rainy, cloudy, and in the 50’s. Put on your overcoat and come with me.
Here is the entrance to the pool at Cinnamon Shores the biggest community in the area.

Mustang Royale is a community next to where I live.

Thanks for the cool pool tour, John. I agree, the Palmilla Beach Resort looks nice, but I’m drawn to the infinity pool, too. Thank you to all of the veterans would have served and those who continue to serve our great county. God Bless America!

While it may seem strange to take us on a tour of the pools in cold weather, at least we could see the actual pool and not a sea of bodies. 🙂 Thanks John.

I think folks tend to cluster in the “cold” places. A quick skurry to the next place is good in winter.

Yes, I do. I’m the proverbial child, and also the glass-half-full, perhaps the only pool-loving person who is excited about being close to the shortest day of the year. That means we’re close to the count-down to the longest day of the year. I know… but it works for me!

Never been on a pool tour…it was lots of fun. I grew up next door to a pool and it didn’t have to be warm for me to swim:)

I had to laugh at the Infinity pool with the pond behind it. I’m reminded of Caddyshack “we have a pool, and a pond. The pond would be good for you.”
Our pools are all covered or drained.

We never have to cover or winterize pools here. Some folks use them al year.

Our community pool is closed for the season. You’ve got so many around you, but I suppose for people who love living around the sea swimming holes, and pools make sense.

These are beautiful photos, John, and I especially love the first one (infinity) with the homes on one side and the tables on the other. Just lovely. My childhood home had a pool, so I grew up loving to swim and these are all so inviting. Of course, not now while it’s 40 deg. outside. 🙂

These are nice pools and on a hot summer day, they would be most welcoming. However, at a cool 30-degree day as we are having here, I will be having nothing to do with outside water. Any time of year, inside or out, I like my swim to be in water that is as warm as my bath.
