We are glad you can join us today. We are going to return to the Hurst Creek/Hamilton Greenbelt again. We are walking to the Sailmaster Waterfall which I have never seen. Have water? Okay let’s go
Here is the entrance.
The wildflowers in June along the way are spectacular.
This a restful little waterfall where I could imagine taking a break and enjoying the sound of the babble of the creek as it cascades over the rocks.
There’s a signpost up ahead. Welcome to the Sailmaster Waterfall zone.
Hurst Creek runs slowly to meet a spillway. These waterlilies had tons of closed yellow blossems waiting for the sun.
You can see the spillway at the right in the background. The waterlilies were to the right of the spillway.

On the way back, we came across a doe.
And two mallard ducks not stopping their grooming.

If I envy anything about Austin, it’s the wonderful natural resources that are there. We flatlanders/coastal dwellers don’t get waterfalls until the freeways flood and start dumping water over the side. The parks, trails, and greenbelts in Austin are just wonderful.

I actually broke my kneecap (same leg as surgery) and am in an immobilizer. I can do anything since my knee can’t move. I just hop along. Thanks, Jacquie.

It gets immobalized and then heals on its own (hopefully) If not on its own then they have to go in and wire it together. (Yowzaa)

I did get a new knee and then broke the same knee cap four weeks a go. 🤓

Not really. The knee cap was my old one. I overstepped some bushes and stress fractured the cap. It was a vertical break into two pieces. Surgeon said he never saw one like that before. I told him I was glad to supply new knowledge. 😄
