Top Ten (Okay, there are twelve) Coronavirus Memes – Time for a Laugh

This week marks the 216th anniversary of the beginning of the Lewis and Clark expedition, but guess what? I just did not have the wherewithal to create the Top Ten Things not to do on that trip. Maybe some other day. Today, we need a laugh, so I thought I would put a few of my favorite coronavirus memes to lighten the week a little. This is not to make lite of our situation, but just to have a smile or two.

Loved the ones with the dogs. And of course, the whiskey still. Just so ya know, I’m not forgetting about the Lewis and Clark one. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. (Helpful Hint: Check out York, William Clark’s slave.)

I should have put a “sorry Andrew,” message. The Lewis and Clark item is so vast. Going from St. Louis to the Pacific ocean on foot and by boat was an unbeleaveable feat. York was freed after the expidition for his good work during. Amazing story. Can do it next week. Thanks for keeping me honest.

According to this plaque, you’re early for Lewis & Clark, anyway. If you do the post at some point, feel free to use the image. It’s on the Allegheny River, just outside of the Strip District, in Pittsburgh.

You are right about the launch of the keeled boat in Pittsburgh. and is reconized as the beginning. I am commemorating the full compliment and fully equipped departure of the expedition. The Corps of Discovery (Named by Jefferson) departed from Camp Dubois (Camp Wood), Missouri at 4 pm on May 14, 1804 on the Missouri River and picked up Clark in St Charles, Missouri six days later.

What a great story. I know he was a wreck at the end. I read a bio on him that broke my heart. His beginnings were amazing and then all that money ruined him. There’s nothing quite like music money. It parlays itself over and over again. His addict then just took him over, as it tends to do. sigh
