“You see anything, Little One?”
“Nope, all clear here.”
“I thought I heard something, though.”
“See Anything?”
“No, that was a false alarm.”
“How about on the perimeter over there?”
“Is that movement in the hedge?”
“I think it might be the wind.”
“Okay then, I’m going to scout the yard.”
“Right behind you, Little one.”
“Hey. Where you going?”
“A quick jump onto the porch.”
“Makes for a better view.”
“See anything from way up there?”
“Could have sworn I saw a bear with an AK47.”
“A bear has no thumbs. How’s he going to carry an AK47?”
I’ve seen ’em with fish. Not a big leap to a weapon.”
“I think your imagination has finally taken you over the edge.”
“Well, let’s just say it would be fun to have a bear to battle. Hey, what was that?”
“I do believe it is the call of the kibble for the early morning patrol. Check it out.”
“You are right. Dad is putting down the bowls.”
“Oka,y then. Let’s report all is well and have a nice breakfast.”
“I think all is well.”
“Keep the bear information between us.”
“See anything from way up there?” Te he hee! Thanks for the Thursday fun with the girls, John 🙂

Always fun to see them on the job. Hope she’s wrong about the bear though. They’re tough enough without weaponry.

Cute, John. Twiggy would get herself into a heap of trouble if it wasn’t for Lucy! 🙄

She gets into enough with Lucy there. I can’t imagine if she wasn’t. Lucy does remind Twiggy about proper behavior once in a while.

Twiggy is welcome to visit here, John. Our neighbors had a bear in their yard. Near as I can tell, he wasn’t carrying any weapons. I love the picture of her standing up against the fence.

And with Twiggy’s imagination, I think she could be a writer 🙂

These are pure gold, John. They never fail to brighten my day, no matter what’s been going on. I love your doggies!
Now that our dachshunds are patrolling outside the Pearly Gates, our four Meara cats and our two McDougal cats (babysitting), are in charge of the conversations around here. They are very, very different from Lucy & Twigg’s chats, believe me. 😀

Thank you, Marcia. We also had two cats named Frankie and Stella who would be in the mix too. They both went over the rainbow bridge two years ago, They were fifteen and brother and sister.

The bear is an as yet unconfirmed sighting, but it’s an open case in the file so there’s that . . .

Mine were like that (before they passed). They had to know everything. A leaf would fall into their garden and they’d charge over to it and sniff it as if to say “who dat? Wot u doing there?”
