Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Want a Break

“So, Lucy. What do you want to do?”

“Uh. The Boss’s Book Tour has me beat.”

“You didn’t do anything, why are you tired?”

“Well, you know. I had to show support while he was visiting all those blogs.”

“Now you have me thinking that I may need some rest too.”

“Sure, you do. Support is a tiring thing.”

“Yeah, maybe I’ll just rest my eyes.”

“”There you go.”

“Snozzle, snork.”

“Twiggy. You awake? Let’s go outside in the sun.”

“Whoa. This is nice, Lucy. Is there something over there?”

“Yes. It is my kind of recovery. I’ll go check although I hate to get up.”

“A couple of deer is all.”

“At least it wasn’t that darned squirrel.”

“Back to the spa day. Why are you way over there?”

“I’m telling you that squirrel is out there. I’m going to be ready.”

“Suit yourself, Little One. Just don’t wake me when he shows up. If ever.”

    1. Hahaha. For some reason we believe that our dogs should have the best life possible. It might be as a result of having seen some of the worst sides of neglect when we were rescue volunteers. You would be welcome here but let’s wait on that. 😁

  1. I love how Twiggy lays in the couch and the step. I’m sure the blog tour was exhausting, John. They feel our energy. I hope you can all relax a bit. The tour was fun to follow, I met a couple authors I’d like to know more about. Good job all around.

  2. It was a great book tour, John and I hope you are all getting some well-deserved rest? I love Twiggy’s steps off the sofa. Much ❤ flowing to you and your girls. Xxx

      1. Otto has always hated the squirrel. Frankie didn’t care and thought he was playing with her. She caught on and is the main instigator now. They don’t exactly look like tree hounds when they get him cornered.

  3. Without Dallas in my back yard, the squirrels and rabbits are having a heyday! Be glad you have such fearsome warriors on the prowl. But yeah, I understand that need for a break, too!
