Views of the Neighborhood – Halloween Final Edition

Welcome to the final edition of the Halloween Views of the Neighborhood. Since Halloween is next Saturday, this will be the last post showing the decorations in the neighborhood. The temperatures have also tuned quite nippy (in the 70s), so we will be serving hot mulled cider, Prosciutto, and provolone sandwiches on toasted ciabatta, napa cabbage slaw, and brownie bites. There is also a full bar, and The Traveling Wilburys will be entertaining us.

Jump on the bus, and we will be off.

This first house has quite a display. I love that witch.

Excuse me while I switch off the lights. Makes the display spooky for sure.

We saw these social distance ghosts a while ago.

This is their yard at night. That image on the house is a changing picture.

A bunch of ghouls.

Scary at night.

Flat monsters.

All blown up

Poor pumpkin

All better

Happy monsters.

Cute mailbox topper.

Maybe a cute mailbox topper. Then again maybe not.

Definitely not a cute mailbox topper.

I guess that does it for this year. I hope you liked the series. Hang around and have more cider and listen to “End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys. I hope you have a super week.

Nice finale. Funny how Halloween decorations vanishing within a week while Christmas ones seem to hold on for around an extra month.

Around her the decorations went up on October 1st. I’m glad they will be coming down.

Honestly, I like Halloween decor more than Christmas. Fewer blinding lights.

Thank you for another fun jaunt through your neighborhood, John. Our cul-de-sac is in hibernation, but who knows, maybe the skeletons are planning a sneak attack in a few days. 😀

Interesting how home owners have gotten into Halloween themes over the past 10 years … especially the last 5. Snacks and entertainment so impressive, I missed most of the houses during the ride, so your images helped show me what I missed. Have a good Sunday.

And I love that witch too, and the first mailbox topper. Sad to see the tour come to an end, but it was truly a thrill ride while it lasted.

Scary stroll, dear John! Imagine, today I have had a true Halloween dream: I dreamt with Lucy (your dog!) who wore boots, walked on two legs & smoke a cigarette. I have never dreamt anything of the kind in my life! 😂😜😜 True…Halloween is coming…It has a special meaning this year for the entire humanity… It seems to me that the 2020 is Halloween itself.
Have a wonderful week, my dear friend!

Late to the tour, John, but I still enjoyed it greatly! We have no one decorating around here to that extent, I’m afraid. And because we are going to do trick or treating this year–it’s been discouraged, and we seldom get many kids anyway–I didn’t even put out my pumpkins and my pirate skeleton. 😦 But I sure enjoyed seeing what fun your neighbors are having.

And may I just add that I MISS TOM PETTY!!! *sad sigh* I was not ready to say goodbye to him! Great video, thanks. 🙂

    Happy Halloween!
