Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy and Twiggy’s Christmas Wish

“Hey, Twiggy. Why so, glum? It’s Christmas Eve.”

“I’m still worried about biting that light on the tree.”

“Why worry? Mom took care of you. She has made it impossible for you to reach the tree.”

“That’s true. Do you think Santa will know? About the bulb, I mean.”

“So even if he does know. You have been good for the rest of the year. Why are you sulking?”

“Before the fence went up, I bit another bulb.”

“Oh, come on. It’s the same offense with two counts. No one cares.”

“You really think so?

“Yes, I do. You need to forget it already.”

“Hey, you two. It’s time for the photo to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.”

“Do we have to be by the tree with the gate?”

“No. You can come over here.”

“We wish you all a very merry Christmas.”

“Lucy, the gate is showing”

“Just smile, and no one will notice.”

“I can feel it.”

“Shush.”

  2. Ah, ha, ha. Twiggy just couldn’t resist, could she? My daughter was the same when she was a toddler. My mother used to say that just meant a little one was smart if they were curious. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021, John. 😀 — Suzanne

  3. Twiggy succumbed to the lure of the lights after all, eh? At least she didn’t unwrap presents like my neighbor’s dog, but the fence employed is the same. 😂 Honestly, the girls are adorable, John. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!🎄🎁

  4. Last-minute regrets, ’tis the season for sure! May you and yours have a wonderfully joy-full and blessed Christmas. And thank you for the reading delight throughout this past year. 💗

  5. Those two, always making me smile. I chuckled when I saw the gate around the tree. One year we had to put ours inside our son’s playpen, to keep him away from it! Same principle!

  6. A bulb-biter, huh? Well, as long as you don’t follow in their paw prints, all will be good. Santa’s a tolerant sort, and the girls have nothing to worry about. Best of the season to you and yours, John — this has turned into one of the best Christmases I’ve had in years, for a variety of very odd reasons. I hope the same for you!

  7. I wish you and yours a joyous, peaceful, and safe Holiday Season, John. The fence around the tree brought back a happy memory of all the fur babies that have gifted our lives with their unconditional love over the years. It’s already 4.00 a.m Christmas morning here in OZ. I’m guessing my 8year-old grandson will be awake very soon. More happy memory’s on the horizon.🙏
