“Hey, Lucy. I thought you didn’t like sweaters.”

“Mom wants a photo with me in it.”

“Wow. You are barely in it.”

“I know it’s a little tight.”

Hey Mom. Lucy’s sweater is too tight.”

“It will be fine for one photo.”

“Thanks anyway, Little One. Might need a Supreme Court ruling.”

“Tell you what, Lucy. Just roll around, and maybe you can wipe it off.”

“Better quit that, Little One. Mom’s calling us to the fireplace.”

“I wonder if we have to smile?”

“I think we just stand here and try to look intelligent.”

“How do we look intelligent?”

“Don’t ask me. I always look goofy. I think something is going to be good at dinner, though.”

“OMG, Lucy. You are so gross.”

“Don’t you smell that? Okay, the faster I look intelligent, the quicker this will be over.”

“Looks like we are in for a long night.”

“I’m trying, Little one. But, it might be easier if I could breathe.”

  7. I love the last line, John. I don’t know if pups like the sweaters, but most moms love them — at least for cuteness sake. Have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas. 🎅❄❄🤶

  17. I love their Christmas sweaters. The pictures by the fireplace turned out very well. I’m afraid we would never get Lia to stand still long enough to get such a good picture. Happy Happy Christmas to everyone in your house!!

  20. Poor Lucy. It’s hard posing when you don’t feel comfy. Maybe she’ll get a new sweater from Santa Paws. I think you did a great job getting both of them to pose together in the first place, and I know how hard it is to get ONE dog to pose!

  21. They’re too cute to ever win an ugly sweater contest, even if there’s a little Scroogish gloom lurking at the edges. I’ve always wondered what the medical bills might be for anyone who tries to do that to a cat!

  24. The girls did a great job of posing and look very stylish in those sweaters. No need to try to look intelligent in a Christmas photo, adorable will do! Somehow I was reminded of kids being afraid of Santa for a photo while the mother just wants them to look happy. Some of those are so funny. Good photo and lovely stockings!

  25. So happy to see Lucy & Twiggy again! They are adorable in their holiday sweaters, but I’m sure they were happy to get them off! And that is the most unique fireplace I have ever seen! Cheers, John, and Merry Christmas to you all, with extra hugs for the pups!
