Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Get Motivated

Looks like Lucy and Twiggy are taking a little time to themselves. You know what they say, “Let sleeping dogs lie.”

“Who was that talking?”

“Huh. I didn’t hear anyone.”

“Whoever it was certainly does not respect the sanctity of the nap.”

“Well, little one. We are up now.”

“Yeah, and I was going to do a power nap today.”

“What is a power nap?”

“It’s where you take no more than twenty minutes and fall out completely.”

“We do that all the time.”

“Yeah, but this is different. You wake up refreshed and ready to resume the day.”

“I always wake up refreshed and ready to resume the day as it is.”

“But the idea here is you are awake for longer periods of time.’

“What fool thought this up?”

“You have me there. I think it was a millennial motivation type.”

“Yeah, so I think I’ll try one right now. Hey. What’s that noise?”

“Look at that, Lucy. FedEx, UPS, USPS, and Prime all simultaneously.”

“Good thing we are well-rested. Give ’em the St Louis special.”

“This crowd deserves a bark to New jersey.”

“You go, girl.”

  1. Nothing excites pups more than delivery trucks! I do remember those days. 😁 Give them some extra hugs — and a treat, and all will be right with the world.

  2. I love how they each choose their own sofa to snooze on! I guess they’re just not the cuddling type (although that laptop on Twiggy’s sofa leads me to believe she was snuggled up to Dad before this conversation took place!)

  3. I like how each dog has their own couch. If you think I’m making fun of you, I’m not. We do the same and cover ours in a similar fashion. We had to put one of our labs down (cancer) at the start of the pandemic, and now Lulu has her choice of couches.

  4. Good thing they had fake power naps before discovering the bevy of deliveries.
    So cute John!
Although, do they ever let the humans in the house use the couch?
My cats allow me to use the bed every night. I just don’t get a large spot.

        1. Best time. When I was a youngster and forced to go to training meetings, I would cut eyeballs out of paper and attach them to my lids. I saw that in a move onceandthought it a great idea. never got caught.

  5. Really, who thought it up? They really have the capacity to get to the core in a jiffy. Whoever it was, I am sure a million suckers paid good money to hear him say nothing, or bought his book.
