Thursday – A Little Personal – Cool Weather for Twiggy and Lucy

“Whoa, Lucy. It is cool out here.”

“Let’s just say it is cooler. Hey Boss, what is the temperature outlook for today?”

“My watch says 84 right now with a high of 97 and a low tonight of 66.” (For our metric friends, that would be 28.8, 36.1, and 18.8.)

Sounds a lot better than the 100s.”

“So Lucy. These rocks are cool as cucumbers.”

“That sun is not as hot as the last few weeks.”

“You think the world is ending?”

“No, we just have had a break in the temperatures. The 100s will be back in a week.’

“I don’t get why the weather is so changeable.”

“Well, as they say, ‘Just hang around, and it will change.'”

“Love to know who says stuff like that.”

“I think it is called conventional wisdom, Little One.”

“I’d love to meet this wisdom guy.”

“It’s not a — Oh, never mind. I’m going to see if the cabana boy is on duty.”

“I can’t believe we can be out here. This shade is great.”

“I’m with you. A little kibble and some cool drinks will make the day perfect.”

“So, where’s the kibble and drinks?”

“The cabana boy is off doing other things. So I guess we will just have to relax without the frills.”

“What are you doing?”

“Smelling the flowers.”

“That’s a plant.”

“No matter. Just enjoying life right now.”

“Doesn’t take the place of kibble and a cool drink.”

“It does if you try Little One.”

We’d call 28.8 hot! Lols 😂 I can’t even imagine temps in the mid 30s. For sure, those are some big temperature swings. Hope you and the girls have a lovely day, John 💕🙂

Glad that you have a little break from those sweltering temps, John. Know that you and the Producer must appreciate the reprieve as much as the girls do. Now to work on the response time of that cabana boy…😂😂

“Just enjoying life right now.” Wise words from Lucy.

I enjoyed our “cold” front this week. We even have a chance for rain this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

That cabana boy is slacking! At least the girls are enjoying the break in temperature, such as it is. (Still seems hot to me.) Twiggy’s understanding of “Conventional Wisdom” made me laugh.

I hope the girls got their frills inside. Sending them ear scratches.

Yup. I think global warming is off and running. We are so fortunate to have a President take control and eliminate all sources of new oil so that finally the population will no longer be able to afford to use fossil fuels. The motto: “If you can’t afford an electric car there is always a bike.”

Same weather forecast for us. Hang on… (checking your bio)… yup, I’m only about 150 miles from you.

I love the rocks off your back patio. Just yesterday a fireman told us we should surround the house with rocks to encourage the next grassfire to go around the house rather than burn through it.

That is a good idea. This is small gauge river rock. On the Texas coast we had larger river rock surrounding the house. The Northern plains of Texas can have some pretty severe fires. I would take that advice.
