Yes, today we are going to the Lakeway Activity Center, where an art show is in progress. These are local artists and in addition to the show at the Activity Center, several artists have opened their studios for visits. We won’t be going to those since I don’t think the artists will be prepared for a visit from our group. We are being catered by Patrizi’s Food truck in Austin. Our entertainment is ZZ Top.
Cacio e Pepe – grana Padano cheese, fresh cracked black pepper, and olive oil
Karah’s Diavolo – lemon, olive oil, rosemary, egg yolks, red chili, grana Padano chees
Patrizi’s House Salad – mixed greens with family recipe creamy Italian dressing, giardiniera, pickled onions, and grana Padano
Here’s a view of some pottery and a succulent display.
This table gives information and ocations of the Artist Studio tour.
A long view of some art.
The Activity Center has many things going on, including dance bands and concerts. Here is a display showing some of them.
Some interesting photos.
A nod to the Avant-Garde.
A portrait selection.
Impressionistic work.
Mostly pastels.
Photographic art.
A little of everything.
Farm scenes.
Pottery and stuff.
A revisit to the succulent table to check out the humorous labels.
Of course, there are food trucks to satisfy the need for a snack while browsing the art.
That’s it. I hope you have a great week. Relax, have some food and enjoy ZZ Top
I love these local art shows. My son had the opportunity to meet his heroes from ZZ Top as his band was one of the opening acts before they performed. He was delighted.

I’ll skip brunch today, thank you.
I must say, the artists around you are quite talented and I love the planters at the succulent table. 🤣

When I took the long shot I didn’t see the signs. I actually caught those while leaving. Thanks, GP.

That menu has me drooling.
You give me the urge to go and see what my town has to offer. I know they do stuff but I just never go. Maybe I should.
These are lovely.

Here’s Billy and Rodney Crowell performing one you could use as a sound track for the next car show in the neighborhood. Back in the day, the ZZ guys used to hang out at a hamburger joint/dive down at the bay. Nice, nice people.

Man that was great. Thanks Linda. A friend of mine had a 56 Fury (rich kid in high school) and we would tear up Woodward avenue. His dad got real upset when we customized the grill. Fun times.

Great post, John. I’ve been away for a week and haven’t shaved so I’m thinking about letting it go like the band. Any sedum plants? My wife loves sedum. Give me the big salad and a ‘Beano’ to go…
LikeLiked by 1 person
I have the family size of Beano for you. Didn’t notice sedum. I think if you blow up the photo you may be able to see if it’s there.

Are you saying that it actually works? Mrs B might like that better than sedum…

I’m pretty sure I’d have spent some time at the succulent table! They’re fairly easy to grow (unless you over-water!). The art was interesting, too. Nice for your community to do this sort of show occasionally!
