I love the Talavera pot and frog especially but Twiggy’s doppelganger has to take first prize!! Bradley and Lady Gaga do a great job.

I always enjoy the mailbox toppers, John. Are these only in your community or do the surrounding communities decorate theirs as well? I loved the Twiggy box!

“We’re far from the shallow now”. . . what a powerful line! ❤️ We don’t have individual mailboxes in our neighborhood, but outside this area, creativity reigns – everything from javelinas to roadrunners. Have a great day and enjoy your breakfast.

Views of the Neighborhood is one of my favorite things to check out each week, John. I’m always amazed by what goes on and what’s on display.

Can’t pick a favorite of these wonderful mailbox toppers (of which there’s not a single one in MY neighborhood), but I really love the Twiggy doppelganger and the non-butter melting cat. Very ZEN, that one. Thanks for sharing, as always. 😀

Mailbox toppers are not abundant around here, John. We’re lucky just to keep our mailboxes from toppling over. Big mailboxes on skinny posts, and rarely do they stand at full attention. These toppers pictured here do have my attention, and perhaps someday I’ll get to choose what goes above our better-fortified mailbox. The salmon sounds good today!

I don’t think we have mailbox toppers where we live. Your brick columns are more conducive for that.

It looks like it was a tradition in the early days of the town. I imagine when a house was built the bricklayer said he had some bricks left over so offered to build a mailbox column. (not sure this is the truth but now it costs over $1000 to repair them when hit by a car.)
