Views of the Neighborhood – May the Fourth be with You

~ John W. Howell

The Lakeway Parks and Recreation had initially planned an event for May 4th featuring a movie showing Star Wars; The Rise of Skywalker. Unfortunately, there was the threat of thunderstorms, so the event was moved to the 5th. We can still go back and participate through the magic of time travel. Here is the poster for the event.

We are catered by

So let’s go.

We are in the right place. The big screen is set up.

Folks are gathering

The Craigo’s truck is here with free pizza.

The popcorn is ready to go.

A storm Trooper looks like he’s ready for all comers.

Here is a brave warrior taking him on with a laser sword.

The kids are ready for laser tag, as is Din Djarin.

Fun for everyone.

“May the Force be with You.”

Let’s have some pizza and enjoy the movie. I hope you have a good week.

Here is a trailer.

  13. What a fun event – and the kids must have loved it. We are huge Star Wars fans – we just finished watching season three of The Mandalorian and understand there is a new Star Wars series coming out soon. Can’t wait.

  14. What a fun event! That trailer actually made me want to catch up – I quit Star Wars after the second prequel 😉
    Happy Sunday to you, John!
