Let’s go.

Here is the poster for the event. We did not go on the studio tour.

This is birdbath heaven.

Also, a TV tray heaven.

A jazz trio for our listening pleasure.

Plants are art , too.

These paintings are made with alcohol inks. Alcohol inks are fast-drying, waterproof, highly pigmented, alcohol-based inks that are great to use on a variety of surfaces. These are dye-based colors (as opposed to pigment-based) that are flowy and transparent.

Some oils on canvas.

Mixed media.

A big selection

Of course, pottery is art.

Some are larger than life.

Computer-generated art and graphite.

To cool off with some shave ice.

I love art shows. I’ve been on a few studio tours as well and they were fun. Enjoyed seeing the artists in their own environment. Rod Stewart is the perfect musical choice today!

Wow. Haven’t seen tv trays like that since I was a kid. My grandparents had some. Guess that stuff fell out of style.

I could spend all day meandering through the show. Love all of the bird baths and plants! The tv trays look a lot nicer than the dull brown ones we had when I was a kid. Thanks for taking us along, John!

Thanks for taking us along, John. I love wandering through an art show. I will not let any of the critters around here see those birdbaths. These guys will have to deal with stone and imitation terracotta on the ground. I’m not sure how they will be in Texas, but I can’t resist trying a bowl New England Clam Chowder & a Lobster Roll.

People rave about this place. I have eaten there but like you I like my chowder and lobster a little closer to the Atlantic so I never ordered either.

Such a nice tour today, John. Your neighborhood does have its share of talented people.
Now – do I get the beet salad or the lobster roll?

Beets are grown here and Lobster has to be flown in. I guess I would go with the beets.

Quite a variety! I try to stay away from this type of event because I invariably buy something–and my house is already full to the brim.

Another great event, John. I really enjoyed seeing what everyone was displaying, and I learned something new, too. I never heard of alcohol inks before. Cool!!
Thanks so much for sharing, and hope you have a great week ahead! 😀 ❤

Our festival season will start again with the cooler weather. Cooler meaning high 80’s, not mid-90’s. Our meteorologists are such comedians. Gosh, that golden beet salad is calling my name…

Mid 90s is cooler for us. Still hitting 100s everyday.

    I adore Rod Stewart!

You sure live in an artistic community. Does anyone sell their books at these fairs?
The birdbaths and TV trays are my faves at this event… for some reason.

Do you have a birdbath? I bet Twiggy would love to have a birdbath.
Thanks for sharing your hood, John. I’m always impressed.

Thank you, Resa. No. Books are not sold at these events but that might not be a bad idea. We don’t have a birdbath but we do have a bucket for the deer. Thanks for coming along Resa. 🐂🐂🐂🐂 🌺

I suddenly realized I have a need for a TV tray…those are so neat! And I’ve been wanting pots like that for my plants (or macramé hangers actually), to keep them out of reach of my kitties (by kitties, I mean Mischievous Moon Pie)…
