The term cornhole for the game came to be in Germany in the 1800s. A man invented the game and then took dried kernels of corn to fill the little bags, hence the name. We are attending the second annual cornhole tournament sponsored by the Lakeway Parks and Recreation. We will just eat there since there is a pizza truck at the event. Today’s entertainment is John Denver.

I’d never heard of cornhole until I moved to North Carolina. It’s not as easy as it looks. Those are some big time trophies! Thanks for the tune…John Denver is one of my favorites. Wishing you and the family a peaceful Sunday, John.

This looks very much like a bean bag toss. Always fun. Love John Denver and this song makes me think of my dad.

I just love your town and all the fun activities going on, on the regular!
John Denver – always a joy to hear! And how did I not know he played the fiddle?
Happy Sunday, John.

Surprise to me too. Of course, the regular fiddle guy was carrying most of the music.

I love the 4-in-1 game, but I’m not very good at it! Cornhole is more my jam.

Yay. I haven’t played but it does look like fun.

Well, well, that’s one corny game!
Hahaha!
Maybe everyone should wear a tricorn when playing?
Okay, scorn me if you want!
But in the end, I know this game, in your hood is a cornerstone of camaraderie!

I like the idea of a tricorn which would help when the bag hits the corner. it would protect the cornia and the corncob pipe as well. 🌽X 🌽X 🌽X 🌽X

Looks like you guys had a great day for the tournament. I was out yesterday, playing catch-up. The guy had some pepperoni rolls left and was giving them away. Always good to hear John Denver. I hope you have a nice week, John.

And speaking of pizza, Imma have a couple slices of pep, por favor.
As for cornhole, it’s one of those things I always THINK I’m going to win at but alas, it never does quite end up that way. Of course, usually when I have played cornhole, I’m also partaking of adult beverages so yanno . . it’s all good.
