Views of the Neighborhood – Lakeway Witches Ride

Today, we are attending the witch’s ride in Lakeway. This is an annual celebration of Halloween and includes events as well as an opportunity for the community to dress up and ride in a parade. There are a ton of things to see. There will be food at the event so we will eat there. Our entertainment is Frank Sinatra.

  1. John, I believe I read that Halloween is the 2nd busiest season for merchandise sales. Those blow ups are a big reason for it. Are you wearing s costume this year? Come to my house, we pass out the big Hershey candy bars. Just don’t scare us.

  2. That looks like fun! I got the biggest kick out of the alien and the man pushing the stroller!
It’s going to be 86 here today, so I’ll have some ice cream!

  3. What a fun day! I think I remember the lady stilt walker from last year. How in the world can she do that? It’s going to be in the 80s again today, so I’ll take a double snow cone! Thanks for sharing, John.

  6. Gotta love a town as active and involved as yours, John. This looks like an interesting celebration — I might be a tad jealous over the still-blooming flowers and the obvious warmth, too!

  8. Wow! What a cool tradition! So much fun and such amazing participation. Our neighbors gather in someone’s driveway on Halloween, with folding chairs, and wine. We pass out candy and compliment all the fun costumes. When the trick-or-treaters stop coming we hang out and catch up with each other. It’s our tradition. Hugs, C
