“What are you doing down there?”
“Thinking of which toy to play with.”

“I would get Mr. Froggy.”
“I was thinking of Fishie.”

“Yeah, he’s a good choice, but Froggie is so much softer.”
“That is true. Do you want to play too?”

“No, you go ahead. Choose what you want.”
“Of course, there is Peeps, as well.”

“What’s the matter?”
“I just don’t feel it right now.”

“So you are back to the sofa?”
“Yeah. I think a little nap is in order.”

“Okay, but given the space here, I think you can spread out.”
“Oh, I don’t know. Seems nice right here.”

“You are forgetting one thing.”
“What’s that?”

“I’m here and was here first.”
“That has not missed my attention.”

“So you can’t find a spot of your own?”
“Not on as nice as this.”

“You want my spot?”
“No, you can have your spot. I’ll just join you there.”

“Sorry, sis, but I am not in the mood for sharing nap spaces.”
“Gee, why not?”

“Well, it is hot outside, and too close makes me sweat.”
“I get that. Where are you going?”
“To find a place that is 99% Tempest free.”

That is so funny. My two always want the same spot too. Especially Lia, the little one. Dot always graciously gives in and finds another spot. (often in a different room altogether.) My favourite picture is 4th from the bottom. So cute and it says it all.

Well, Tempeste is living up to her reputation as Chief Aggrevator. But, rest winning over toys is a sign showing she is maturing. …. slowly.

Good luck Twiggy. Tempeste is always going to want to be where you are. I love it when they can’t decide what toy to play with.

That is a real decision conundrum for them. Thanks,Dan.

Challenging the rule of ‘firsties’ isn’t for the faint-hearted. Obviously, Tempeste has a very strong heart!

Yes she does. Twiggy is quite tolerant too.

The two girls really like each other, but Twiggy gets uncomfortable when they’re lying together when it’s really warm. I imagine that’ll change when the weather cools down.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m betting the same thing, Tim. Right now she needs her own space. 😁

Twiggy is so understanding…..to a point. Loved “99% Tempeste free.” I hope the weather cools so Tempeste can run off some of that puppy energy outside.

She does manage to get her exercise in. She has so much energy though.

I can imagine. Despite being three years old, our new cat (Samantha the Manx) is into everything, digging everything. chasing bugs and dust bunnies, and running from one end of the house to the other. I think since she was a stray of unknown origin, she might have missed her kittenhood.

It’s still very hot in Texas then. It seems to be cooling down in a lot of other places now. A very cute post.

Foggie, Fishy, Peeps. How can one decide. if it were me, I’d b there all day. And the last line, is the Derby winner of the day. Twiggy, I’m glad to see is making sure she has some alone time. Such a healthy girl. She must be reading ELLE Magazine about a French girl’s self-care.:)

She does need alone time. In the morning she and I go into the office and have coffee together. She plays with a favorite toy and I do e-mails. It has become a standing date. It only lasts 15 minutes but that seems to satisfy her for the day.

I’m with Twiggy. Tempeste, however, sounds like Monk — wherever I am, that’s where he wants to be. Fine, when it’s freezing outside, but pretty unbearable when it’s this hot!

She is certainly like that, Debbie. Twiggy is as well.

Lol … reminds me of Raji and Junior (RIP). Junior would be snoozing on the back of the couch, in a nice square of sunlight. Raji would come over and nuzzle. I think he’d be fine curling up next to Junior, but Junior would always sigh and get up and move away. Then Raji would curl up in Junior’s spot, in the sunlight. Maybe he really wanted Junior to move? 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think the nuzzle part is a ploy. Tempeste does the same and then if Twiggy lets her, Tempeste won’t lay still. Twiggy then gets up.

Typical…. All that room and jostling for the King of the castle spot 🙂 I got up out of my chair in the garden the day before yesterday, and it was a sunny spot… My Cat jumped straight in it… And wasn’t going to move… 🙂 lol… And I didn’t have the heart to either as He looked so comfy when I came back with my cuppa.. 🙂
Lovely as always John… ❤

Egad…not a Tempeste free zone. Twiggy, are you really that warm and sweaty you wouldn’t want to snuggle just a tad?

Well Miss Linda it’s like this. Tempeste must have some kind of jerky leg syndrome. She can’t settle. Yeah good to snuggle for about ten seconds.
