  1. These are beauties, John. I love car shows. Too many great ones to pick a favorite, but I do like that old Cadillac and the MG. The last time you had pork chops on the menu, I had something slightly healthier – what was I thinking. Chops please.

  2. I’d never go to a car show myself, but I must say there are a couple here I enjoyed. The “Come and Take It” car sure is a classic, in several ways, but that red ’57 Chevy? Yes, please! I’d love to find that under my Christmas tree. Speaking of Texas classics, some paired up for a perfect car show song.

      1. Actually, the police disrupted the concert. So many people stormed their way in without purchasing tickets and closed in on the stage that the police had to stop the concert while they made those people leave. Marijuana joints as big as cigars were being passed around and the concert hall was filled with smoke, but the cops didn’t seem worried about that.

  3. What an amazing array of vehicles. While I mostly view cars as a utilitarian function in life, I will admit I almost drooled at the McLaren…that is until I saw the MG Midget. I had one circa 1976. LOVED that tiny little car but it wasn’t nearly as cool at those from the 50’s. One of my high school classmates had one that I fell in love with it or maybe it was him…he was a pretty cute guy. LOL

  4. I hope you’ll keep doing these car show posts, John — I love them! Love the T-bird and the Corvettes especially, and I got a giggle out of the Texas-style Olds. These older model cars had great personalities, don’t you think?!

  5. These are fabulous! Impossible to choose a favorite, though I wouldn’t mind starting with the ’71 Jaguar. 🤩 It is inspiring to see people taking care of vintage vehicles, isn’t it.

  6. How fun! You did not disappoint with your choice of music. When I saw the entertainment was provided by Steppensolf, I was pretty sure I knew which song was coming. I love the intro on that tune.

  7. Old cars are something else–and then you slip in the 2024 Ford GT 3.5 L 600 horsepower Supersport. Ha! I went to the James Dean car show in Marion IN when I was back there. People had a great time.

  8. I wish I would have been there. Thanks for taking me there at least virtually. 👍

You start with my two favourite old timers: the Jaguar XKE and the AC Cobra.

  9. I adore old American cars, dear John! Wonderful collection & bravo to the owner. I know how expensive it is to keep a vintage car! Thank you for this charming report of freedom!🍻🍤🍤🍤🥳🌷
