The ten things not to do are the same. On Veteran’s Day, do not fail to remember those veterans who served so that we all continue to enjoy our freedoms.
If you know a veteran, tell them thanks for all of us.

Very close to my heart 🙏 Happy Veteran’s Day to all the veterans, and know that just one day is not enough to honor the great sacrifice that many have made. 🇺🇸

My dad was a paratrooper during WWII. As a child, I didn’t understand the nightmares he used to have. Even as an adult, he never talked to me about his experiences in the war until I took him to the Tom Hanks movie, Saving Private Ryan. He sobbed during most of the movie, and then shared with my brother and me just a few things. I don’t think I thanked him enough for his service – he signed up the day after he graduated from high school.

Those guys went through hell and then some. They were of the generation that just didn’t talk about what they endured. Thanks, Pamela.

We put out extra flags today and I thanked our HVAC tech, a young man and Marine vet who served in Iraq.

Thank you for sharing. Me either – though my brother’s Army recruiter sure gave it a go.

I had enlisted but was in an auto accident that rendered me unfit a week before reporting.

Oh wow, hope you were ok from that. Maybe a silver lining.

I was in the hospital for 70 days and the recruiter did a visit and said he would hold up the paperwork.until I was better. After my release I went for a pre-induction physical and got a big reject. Seems all the broken bones including vertebrae made the doc a little nervous. I thought I would try again later but finished college and the rest was history.
