Today, we are traveling to Lakeway City Hall, where the 2024 Lakeway Photo Festival winners are displayed. The Festival is sponsored by The Lakeway Arts Committee and is an annual event. We are catered by This Too Shall Pass of Austin. Our entertainment is Paul Simon singing Kodachrome.

Let’s go.

An overview shot.
Also, all the photos are behind glass and illuminated with spotlights. To get a photo of the photo, I have had to take some unusual angles to avoid glare and reflection. I intended to get a clear photo and not worry about the frames. The angles will be a little uncomfortable to highly qualified photographers. The following are the category winners.

Iconic Golfball Tower

Framed

Don’t Wake the Lion

A Rose by Any Other Dark Name.

Life Emerging

Oh Deer

Got Any Nuts?

Woodhouse Scrub Jay

Sharing Sweet Nectar

The Mother Ship

Celebrate America

Well, that is the tour. It is time to relax with food and music. I hope you have a great weekend.

Hi John, some lovely photographs here. I like the butterflies and the squirrel best.

They were terrific, Robbie. Thanks for coming along.

There are some gems there, indeed! The architecture one that highlights the “it’s the journey”, the abstract one that captures the fleeting nature of life, the greenscapes one that shows up the persistence of life… It is difficult to choose a favorite, for sure.

Yes, it is hard to decide on a favorite. They were all very good.

There are so many great images in that lot. I loved the Butterflies, birds, and critters.

I liked them all as well, Deborah. The photos were quite good. The framing in glass not so much.

All together great photographs, John. Are there any skills not active in your community? 😉 Oh, i find one, you hadn’t mentioned yet. Look at the first commentor. Nobody in Lakeway can create so beautiful figurines like Robbie! Hurrah! Best wishes, Michael

These are wonderful photos, John. I can see why they’re winners. I’m partial to the critters, but I do like that view under the arches (Framed).
I’ll go with the Shrimp Scampi. It’s hard to resist sourdough bread. I hope you’re having a great weekend.

Thank you, Dan. Yes the weekend went well for the Baylor Bears and Notre Dame. For WVU? Not so much. 😁
LikeLiked by 1 person
No. WVU and Pitt ended on low notes. Pitt started off 7-0 and then went 0-5 to finish the season. Iowa State finished strong, so I’ll be wearing a few ISU shirts to the bar. Family bets are the hardest to pay.

Yes . Family bets are the worst.

I’ll have the Calamari, been a long time since I’ve had that!

Come to think about it, I haven’t had Calamari in ages myself. I’ll join you. 😁 Thanks, GP.

I like the golf ball tower, but mostly because I can imagine Godzilla using his tail to hit it into a giant hole.

People took a lot of great photos. It must have been fun to see. The menu looks good. I ate aragula yesterday. I did not realize how bitter it is, like 1000 IBU. That’s too much. But I guess if you put the passion fruit dressing on it, it is OK.

Arugula has a pepper flavor too. I like it.

After calming down laughing from reading GOAT CHEESE BALLS, I’ve decided I’m not hungry today.
Although, the Quinoa salad does sound tempting.
Lots of fab photos here John. I especially adore all of the animal shots.
