Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Get New Winter Coats

“My, don’t you look nice in your new coats.”

“We are unsure of these, but thanks for the treats.”

“Tempeste, you will never get that off that way.”

“How do you get them off?”

You find a nice chair and rub it off.”

“On Mom’s new chairs. Are you nuts?”

They have covers, so no one will be the wiser.”

“I don’t know. Sounds very risky to me.”

“Give it a try. Works wonders.”

“Okay, one rub.”

“Hey. What’s the deal?”

“This coat didn’t even budge. You lied to me.”

“No, I didn’t. It worked in the past. These new ones seem pretty stubborn.”

“You can say that again.”

“That step-over roll hold was pretty impressive.”

“You want to see it again?”

“Ha ha ha. I have to say you are getting good.”

“Don’t forget I have a good teacher.”

“I guess we are not going out.”

“How about a game of tag, then. I’ll be it.”

“Give me a head start.”

“One…two….”

  1. That color coordination is perfect. Of course, you could have tipped a hat to Christmas and given them one red coat and one green, but this will work better for January and February.

  2. The puma and the panther look so cute in their new coats. But I doubt one rub is going to get the coat off. How determined is Twiggy? I’m sure they will love them the next time they go out!

  3. Our Mom always seems happy to see rub off attempts thwarted which we think is just plain mean. The fur kids should be thrilled they don’t have to wear snow boots. Those buggers are a real challenge!

    1. Our Mom is the same. She will have a smile on her face as we roll around and rub every piece of furniture. She did try boots and the high stepping avoidance system worked. No more boots. We are glad you don’t have them either. .

  4. Their new coats look really nice. Is it that chilly in TX? LOL! Twiggy isn’t happy with the stubborn new coats being harder to get off is she? Stay warm over there! I’m wearing a down vest over my jammies top now as it’s really chilly at only 24 degrees F right now.

  5. They’re such fashionistas. They look like any minute they’re about to go ice skating. Coco Chanel would be so proud. All they need are a few strings of pearls, in their case, around their tails. Ask them what they think? 🙂

  6. The leopard detail is a chic touch. My dog’s winter coat consists only of his fur, and he sheds it all over the place. Sigh. Give the fashionistas belly rubs from me. Thanks for the smiles, John.

  7. Aw, they look so stylish in their new coats — and I know Texas does get cold, so they’ll be welcome additions to their wardrobes. It’s probably best for them to get adjusted to them gradually so they won’t protest so vehemently when they’re forced to wear them.

  8. They are very cute in their little coats. They have short hair so they may need it. Our pug Daisy got cold but our Leonberger Bronco did not and our mini-Australian Shepherd Rollo does not get cold. Well, at least in the Texas cold, which is not like the Minnesota or Sweden cold.

  9. Those are snazzy new coats, Twiggy and Tempeste! It’s best if they don’t come off two easily. There is a new coat of Dot’s that we never did find in the park bushes. sigh

  10. Too cute! They do look quite stylish and ready for the runway 🙂 Reassure them that it could be worse: you all could live in the far reaches of the north and be wearing these sweaters year-round 😉

  11. Very nice coats, girls!

    Apex of style, no less.

Tell dad I’m 2/3 in. That I’ve decided Sam need new cloud wear, so I’m reading less, and drawing more.

    He’ll know what I mean.
