“I’m pretty sure Dad wouldn’t like you sleeping on his computer.”
“It’s so nice and warm, though. Why don’t you cozy up?”

“Okay, is this better?
“I would say so. There are no words running around on you.”

“So where did Mon go anyway?”
“She went to the store to get food.”

Human food, I’ll bet.”
“Well, she sometimes gets our food too.”

“I’m just thinking about a nice taste of peanut butter.”
“We only get that when it is crate time.”

“Whoa, that’s right. We are not in our crates.”
“You just scared the bejeezes out of me jumping up like that.”

“I hear the garage door.”
“I’m going for the back of the couch. I can see better from there.”

“What do you see from there?”
“Mom’s pulling in right now.”

“Why do I hear a noise in the backyard?”
“That’s the mowers for the house behind us. Trust me, Mom is out this way.”

“I’ll take your word. Let me know when we should start the bark-a-thon.”
“Not yet. Let’s let her enter the door, then we’ll cut loose. We need to rush her, too.”
“Yeah, and lots of jumping till she screams, “No jumping.”
“You got it. Ready?

Your lovely girls. 🩷 Much love to you, Mrs H, Twiggy and Tempeste, dear John. Xxx 🩷

I thought Tempeste was typing up the blog post or starting your next novel for you! Dot and Lia start the barking the minute they hear the key in the door and are all over me before I even get in the house. You’d think I had been gone for weeks!

Both pups sure do get coordinated in their actions, John. Do their antics make it easier for you to put words in their mouths?
LikeLiked by 2 people
I basically react to their actions. I take the photos and the the story begins to form. As you may imagine there is very little I can do to direct them. So, I have to follow their lead. Thanks GP.

Now only do they have a routine, it’s planned, too … just to get under Mom’s skin. But that seems a bit risky.

Very risky especially when mom is dressed in black or white.

Sleeping on the computer, huh? Maybe Tempeste secretly wants to be a writer! Or thinks she’s helping. Twiggy is definitely the supervisor. 🙂

I could not imagine what she was doing. Thanks, Joan. Yes, Twiggy has taken the supervisor role.

Thanks for the smiles, John.

Number one, that explains the odd email I got from you. A few spelling errors, but not bad – maybe they can help you with your next book.
Second – I loved the banter today – awesome.

The bark-a-thon happens daily at our house too. My wife drives down the hill to get our mail, and comes back two minutes later. You would have thought she had been gone for a week by Lulu’s reaction.

They are so cute, John. It’s great that they have each other to pal around with when you’re gone. 🙂
We have a spare room where we are staying right now – no furniture, so we turned it into Goldie’s crate. She loves it – The cat’s crate is under the window with a blanket on it, and that is her favorite lookout spot – even better than the couch!
