Hope the temperatures were cool enough for all those running.
I’ll have that rib eye, Extra rare please, while I wait for them to get back to the finish line.

A free race–how nice. None of our local races are free, and it seems they get pricier every year.

I do like that chess sculpture. Kind of makes you slow down and enjoy the view.

And I WAS going to ask if you participated in the 5K. I might be able to do it, but at a walk with walking sticks. I’d cross the finish line after everyone had gone home!

The salmon looks fantastic, since I can no longer eat beef.

It does look like a grand time was had by all. At this point in my life (could change tomorrow) I’d be the quiet game of chess before and during the race!

Most of these things in my area also offer a “fun walk” so those who don’t feel like running can still participate. The Monk and I would’ve loved doing that. Somehow, I can’t see him braving all those feet to run (though if there had been a cat in the pack, he’d have been game!)

I continue to be impressed by the vast variety of community events you have in Lakeway. I was curious about the poulation there. It’s grown from 11,391 people in 2010 to 19,189 in 2020. That’s impressive growth.

Great choice on the music today.
