John, nice to see. But one of my big pet peeves is that at the FARMERS market there is usually only 1 or maybe 2 farm-type stands. Nice car !!!

    Dear John
We love such markets as well. They are very popular here in England.
You find them in the market towns as well as on the lawns of the big country houses on weekends.
We wish you a happy week

Curious about raw milk – is it legal to sell in your state?

    Like

    1. John W. Howell's avatar

Texas law allows farmers to sell raw milk directly to consumers at the farm where it’s produced, and also permits delivery from the farm to consumers. The seller needs a permit.

That’s a very nice Farmer’s Market. Great photos! I’ll have Tres Leches French Toast. BTW last night I had Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA, but I don’t think it was the best Voodoo Ranger. There are many much better ones.

This one was a New England style Imperial (ABV 9.5%) but I’ve had other Imperial ones that tasted great, including another force something. This one tasted like old orange juice with mango and no hops. Well maybe not that bad but almost.

Well, I should clarify that there was no fruit added to the beer, but the New England style IPAs often have fruity notes (esters from the fermentation), and I am fine with that, but it did not work in this one.

There’s a little bit of everything (good!) going on here Boss. That van is grooovy and the breads and produce and candles look like my kinda stops. The forever jewelry? Yeah I’m not sure either. And while I usually go for a savory breakfast, that Tres Leches French Toast sounds too good to pass up.

Your Farmer’s Market is very much like the one in my neighborhood with ours having almost as many dogs visiting as people. I never understand why people find the need to go shopping with their pets. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Especially on super hot days.

When you can go into a place like Lowe’s if one thing, but to take your dog to the grocery store and leave it in the car with the windows rolled down is a whole different ball of wax. And making them walk on hot payment to go to a Farmer’s Market just defies all levels of comprehension.

Same here but people still do it. I’ve called the fire department who will break a window with impunity to rescue a dog.
