Cuban car thing is really interesting. Sounds like they’re able to maintain their cars fir a lot longer than those who can access the needed parts. Wonder why that is.

Since there is an economic blockade of Cuba, no new cars or parts are allowed in. Therefore, they have skilled mechanics who fabricate parts as needed.

It’s nice that Lakeway celebrates Hispanic Heritage, John. September is the month when Mexico got independence from Spain and there a lot of Hispanic people in Texas. All of them I met while in Texas were polite and the restaurant we ate at was real nice. Have a great Sunday.

I was in Seventh Heaven in Scotland, where I had smoked salmon, and a lot of it, every single day!

I enjoyed it there, too along with smoked Scot’s whisky

We did a few whisky tastings while there. I prefer the Highland whisky to the ones from along the coast. I couldn’t get used to the medicinal taste from the seaweed.

I love Mexican Food! I’m glad you highlighted it as well. #1 Grandson’s paternal Grandma collects Talavera ware. She has some lovely pieces and I love their colorful themes.

Another interesting post from your neighborhood. I did not know that September 15th was the independence day for several Latin American countries. As for the menu, I’ll have the bagel with salmon. (that’s very Swedish)
