Friday, Friday, Friday Woo Woo *slap* – Ahem Haiku Time.

Making it to the end of the workweek doesn’t necessarily mean we can totally forget our jobs over the weekend. Imagine if you will (Rod Serling visual here) the prospect of having to re-learn everything you knew last Friday when you return to work on Monday. Also think of the pain of learning how some of your job sucks all over again as well. This week’s Haiku looks at the idea of completely forgetting ones work over the weekend.

Where Am I by John W. Howell© 2014

Out of bed Monday,

Can’t remember what I do . . .

Hope I’m a doctor.

Have a great weekend

That would be creepy and rather annoying after a while. Though I think you have an idea for a great short story. Kind of like that movie ‘Memento’.

I try to forget about my job over the weekend so I can enjoy the weekend 🙂 Of course, I just work with data. Like riding a bicycle, it comes back to you pretty quickly. Happy Friday, John! Love the haiku, too 🙂

Did you see the one where the little monster was on the wing of the airplane tearing the engine apart? Was also in the movie.

yes – that was the one with William Shatner. The one that has always freaked me out – three actually – the mannequins in the department store, the little girl who disappears under the bed and the one with the person who visits a house looking for help (bad explanation of this one – gave me nightmares:)

Yes LOL. You got the point. The risk of wanting to be something great is we may not have the skill to pull it off. Thanks

Most Doctors I know are harassed all weekend, even when they are not on call. Nurses and patients would not let you forget. I liked being a nurse, so I could “turn off” on the weekends.

Perhaps the forgetting could be achieved with a deluge of margaritas. Doctors generally seem stressed even when they are not working, at least it appears that way to me.

Given that I have to work on Sunday, I’d REALLY be in the crapper if I forgot what I knew today. 😉 Great haiku, Have a nice weekend John.

Ooo, John, brilliant ‘n thought provoking Haiku, ‘twould be really spooky and annoying too, and leaves my Brain tribute a tad awry overall, but I can live with that… Sobs!!! 😀 xx

Loved the brain tribute. Left what will pass as a tongue in cheek comment as well.
