Another week of hard labor has been put to bed (after the next eight or so hours) and it is time to celebrate. As you read this I am in the San Francisco area attending the Passages Book Store Mystery Writers conference. This year’s faculty is pretty impressive. There is John Lescroart, Anne Perry, Valerie Plame Isabel Allende to name a few. Of course, through the miracle of WP scheduling this Friday JohnKu (a term coined by Words4JP) is still being published as it should on Friday. This week’s JohnKu deals with the subject of learning (which I hope I will be doing).

Cultivating is required . . .
Otherwise, it dies.

Just like a garden. Have fun at the conference.

We did, too, long time ago. Ninth & Irving (Sunset District). We recently learned that our favorite pizza restaurant, Villa Romana, closed this week. We used to go there every Friday night. It was such a tradition that one of the waiters would put in our pizza order as soon as he saw us at the door :). Few places like that anymore …

This reminds me of – if you don’t use it, you loose it – phrase I use to repeat to my personal training clients and students. But the same can be said about the mind….. Plus you cannot grow a healthy crop of corn unless you cultivate it:)
