Friday JohnKu – TGIF

This week has been really busy and next looks to be the same. I was really honored to be a part of the Sally Ember Ed.D interview show on Changes. If you missed it you can go to this link on You Tub and catch up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZRG5j5fHuo

We are deeply into the Christmas shopping season again. I don’t know about you, but this year I am really out of ideas. Not sure what I’m going to do since I usually have a good idea of what to get by this time each year. I think I’m going to have to consult with some extra-terrestrial something to come up with an idea. I used to have jewelry ideas, but my wife has placed me on a budget which has the effect of making a jewelry selection somewhat more challenging. It seems the higher end stuff gets a better reception than a shark tooth on a string (you think?).

So this week’s JohnKu (a term coined by Words4jp) has captured the angst and terror of finding the right gift. It is titled I’m Going to Die. Hope you like it.

Uneasy stalks the day,

Terror chills fill the darkness . . .

No gift idea.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, but I was wishing for a Johnku about our conversation, especially one in which either CHANGES or my name figure in prominently. That would be a great gift, BTW: An eponymic Johnku for your loved ones, one for each.

    Best to you!

        1. Like the sword (air element) in Tarot, representing thought? Or, like the Sword of Manjushri, the embodiment of wisdom and skillful methods of behaving, speaking and thinking? Or, like the drigug (short blade) of the wrathful Buddhist dieties symbolizing enlightenment, cutting through attachment and delusion? I’ll take any of those as complimentary, for sure!

          Best to you,

          Sally

  2. I think I’m hand-making or home-baking most of my gifts this year. I am *almost* getting tired of shopping. I’d be willing to bet that your friends and family would love to have a hand-lettered poem from you, put into a nice little frame. maybe along with a pressed flower or autumn leaf from your garden…

      1. Well, John, I imagine that he has similar problems in deciding what it is to get for people, although his budgeting problems may be less significant than for the likes of us. He probably gives them a subscription to Office that his recipients then need to keep paying for to keep activated on an ongoing basis, thereby lining his pocket further.
