Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

Nice to have Friday come around. This week has been quite wet. We have had rain on and off since last Saturday. I’m not complaining since this definitely helps our drought situation immensely. We have been on water restrictions for about a year and even with this train we will probably remain. On Tuesday, I got a flash flood warning on my cell phone, and it brought to mind how sometimes there is too much of a good thing. I think those who would experience a flash flood might think such a thing is fairly ironic. Today’s JohnKu (a term coined by Words4jp) deals with the subject of too much of a good thing. I hope you like it.

Parched land, pray for rain,

The sky opens with bounty. . .

Drowning everything.

That’s really a tough one. Rain is good, but too much is destructive. Hope you don’t need a boat to get around.

We’ve had so much rain and snow here in NE, I think we need a ‘sun’ text warning: FLASH FLASH SUN SHOWING FACE FOR FIRST TIME IN !0 DAYS!! (something like that). 🙂

Like the Johnku. Living in London I know all about rain. Hopefully you will enjoy a water restriction free summer. It is never good for the garden when you can’t get the hose out. We seem to have a lot of drought warnings/water restrictions over here in the summer, this despite the fact it seems to rain half of the time.

We should be having lots of rain here because it’s April, however, not too much this year.

I believe your JohnKu has captured the dilemma of too much rain. On the other hand, I could say be careful what you wish for. 😀
