Looks like Friday is here. At least the beginning of Friday is here. Only about eight more hours until the weekend. Today is the last Friday before the milestone marking the beginning of summer Memorial Day. This year Memorial Day is a little earlier than usual due to the last Monday of May being the 25th. I have always had a thought that Memorial Day is on the 30th (or thereabouts). So summer is a little early this year. Hey, I’m not going to complain after the winter that we all have had. Today’s JohnKu ( a term coined by Words4jp) is a celebration of the transition of the seasons.

Spring blowing salty,
A welcome change from winter. . .
Nothing like summer.

And I love the title: Summer Loading. Fabulous! 🙂

Sigh…. I can smell the ocean breeze and feel the sunshine on my face… Well done, John.
It’s my Friday to work so I’m not feeling celebratory yet. Mondays i get to work from home — so on Monday holidays i lose my only telework day. But at least i won’t be chained to my computer. All the work will have to be done Tuesday… but sometimes i’m happy to procrastinate. It’s supposed to be a lovely day here, and I think pretty nice all weekend. Another plus. Now if i can just manage to write this weekend’s episode of Copper.
Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs!

Our summer has been about 6 weeks early with August temperatures in the last week alone. It has meant that the garden which is in full growth mode requires a lot more watering to maintain. But I am loving swimming earlier.

Same here according to the news. That’s when you drink the margarita from a sippy cup to avoid it getting watered down.

Salty air destroying your flowers too. 😦
Had to touch my face when I read this because I felt the salt on my skin. Nice touch, John. Happy weekend and did I hear something about a birthday. Have a wonderful one and a great weather weekend. 🙂

That’s okay. We don’t have that in Canada, but last weekend, we celebrated Queen Victoria’s Birthday. 🙂

Winter wasn’t the best, was it? Still, even spring was pretty rough for many of us, so maybe we can look forward to summer, when weather activity tends to settle down a bit. Hey, even hot and dry most days of the week is at least predictable, right? Enjoy your holiday, John!
