Sunday Fifty -Two Views of the Gulf – Vote Needed

Sunday at the Gulf of Mexico

Today is a little overcast but promises to be more sunshine and a high near eighty degrees. The tire marks are as a result of the gathering of our residents for a fire on the beach. As you can see, I managed to put a poll together. This photo will be the last photo of the Gulf if the votes swing toward something different. Next week is the fifty-two-week mark for this feature. I hope to have a composite slide show built which will be published here and then moved to the sidebar. You will be able to access the results of the poll after your vote.

Last week’s photo.

  1. I do like the concept of a view devloping over time…

  2. It was a fun ride. Loved the construction twist.

    1. Thanks. That wasn’t planned in the beginning but I liked it too.

      1. You always have to keep us on our toes. πŸ˜‰

      2. Twist again.(like we did last summer)

  3. I always look forward to these photos, John. Happy Easter!

    1. Thanks Jill. Happy Easter to you. πŸ™‚

  4. This is an intriguing photo, John. It’s like the small space between the inhale and the exhale of breath.
Now the poll… Personally I think you deserve a day off (it seems like you’re one extremely hard working blogger) — but since I don’t think you’d do that, I didn’t vote that option.
I agree with Jill that I’ve enjoyed and look forward to these pictures of the gulf.
But after a full year, I imagine you’re tired of this project.
So I voted the second option BUT — what I’m thinking is *keep the photo somewhere in your neighborhood.* So 52 views of the community… The dogs being walked, the bird on the road sign, maybe even take us on the ferry with you. That kind of thing. Maybe? Heck, you’re good at this. Go with what feels right.
    Enjoy your holiday. Mega hugs.

    1. Thank you for the insight Teagan. I think your suggestion sounds like fun. Of course, snapping a picture of the Gulf is a lot easier than hunting down other “targets.” I like your idea though. Enjoy as well. BIG HUG

      1. I hope you will choose whatever is easy and fun for you, John. You have enough to do. Hugs.

      2. Aw. Thanks. I am thinking of your word blog-tater. πŸ™‚

  5. The question I put out there is what do you enjoy doing more than taking pictures of the same view? πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ Just saying since you’ll be carrying on for a whole year again.

    1. Good point Tess. Thank you.

      1. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

      2. I wonder how my laughing faces in my comment turned blue?

      3. Ha. Something’s going on. Now I see a blue heart where there once was a read one to which you replied. Huh. o_O

      4. By the way, an earlier response I sent you, hung up WP and I gave up on re-sending it. o_O

      5. Acting weird today. (WP that is)

      6. Yes, still off and on… grr.

  6. John, I agree with Teagan! I voted for # 2. Don’t think you’ll take Sunday off! Might be a good idea, a day off once in a while! Happy Easter! πŸ’› Elizabeth

    1. Thank you Elizabeth

  7. This was a really cool project, but I can see it ending this way. I voted for a different photo feature, but even that didn’t feel right. You ought to do what inspires you. Maybe that changes from time to time.

    1. Thanks, Craig. I think I will do some photos around the place and see what happens. The slide show is quite cool. Now if I can figure out how to embed it in a post.

  8. Stay the course, John.

    1. Thanks Hook but it looks like the vote is to take more pictures of different things. One even named it “52 Views of the Neighborhood.”

  9. John, I sooo love seeing the gulf, but I voted for the second option. I imagine 52 photos — some on grey, rainy days — must have gotten boring to you, and I don’t want to see you bored! Because I have no doubts that you’re trying to keep writing regularly (and won’t take Sundays off!), I just lean toward changing things up once in a while. But do keep the Sunday photos somewhere, okay?? Happy Easter to you!

    1. Thanks for your input Debbie. πŸ˜‰

  10. It seems we all appreciate your photos and think you’re ready to move on to another site and more pictures. I hope you and yours had a Happy Easter. πŸ™‚ — Suzanne

  11. So the p;d folks were spinning wheels, not the spring breakers!

  12. Either keep this view or change your focus, just continue to show us. Last week’s view is quite peaceful, John.

    1. Thanks Audrey. πŸ™‚
