Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

funny-friday-smiling-bulldog-dog

Friday again and no I’m not going to talk about how quick the week has flown. I think I’m finally over wondering about time passing. I have given into the fact that like sand in an hourglass these are the days of our lives.(Brought to you by Ivory soap)

I managed to get a lot done this week on my WIP. As most of you know I’m finishing up the John J. Cannon Trilogy with the last book titled Our Justice. I sent my manuscript off to Beta readers and received some great comments. For those of you who do not use Beta readers, I would highly recommend that you begin. It is so good to get another set of eyes to look critically at your work. The feedback was all received by me by the first of April. I have been spending the time editing the story taking into account the excellent comments. I will be sending the revised MS to the editor on May 3rd. I have a little time, and I am going to meet the deadline. I made excellent progress this week. Today’s JohnKu talks about setting a goal as the way to accomplish more. I hope you enjoy it and have a great weekend.

The Goal By John W. Howell © 2016

Wander aimlessly,

Hoping to achieve something…

A goal is magic.

I love the advice on setting a goal, John. It has the ring of truth. I know you must do a bit more, though. All the best on your present WIP. 🙂 — Suzanne

Thank you Suzanne. Just setting a goal is not a guarantee it will turn into something productive. 🙂

Goals are definitely powerful. Gives one focus and can be a small confidence booster when you reach them. Enjoy the weekend.

Maybe. Spending half of tomorrow at a clinic for a physical and the heart check. Yay! 😛

Love the happy dog. My doggie, Captain, the pug, is not doing well. I’m so sad. Best of luck to you with this process and project. You’ve come a long way 🙂

I’m sorry to hear about Captain. I have lost two of my babies over the last two years and I know how it hurts. ❤

Nothing like a productive week, John, to send one into a happy weekend! Thanks for the advice3 on beta readers — my question is, how do you pick and choose which recommendations for changes to follow and which to reject? Love the Johnku!

Good question Debbie. There is ahold saying,”You can’t please all the people all the time.” You just have to make the call on which suggestions to take.

You are putting me to shame John. Another book nearly completed already! At this rate you’ll be replacing Barbara Cartland as the most prolific writer in history. Have a good weekend.

Yes. Now I need to go back and fix a couple of name slips (You know in the opening the wife’s name was Shirley and then changed to Geneen kind of stuff)

My goal each week is just to get to Friday with a sound mind and body. The sound body has been easy, but the sound mind …? Eh, not so much ;). Have a great weekend, John. You are making wonderful progress. Hope you plan to give yourself a reward. Goals and rewards go well together 🙂
