One of the things our Boxers Lucy (L) and Bailey (R) love to do is dig in the sand. They are especially happy when they come upon a gopher mound. To date, no gophers have been injured by these two. They continue to try but are up against a foe with superior intelligence. (Just looking at these two will confirm the previous sentence.)

Here they are. You be the judge.

John Howell usually treats us to wonderful views of the Texas Coast but today one of the other loves of his life.. his boxers.. aahhhh

They are handsome looking dogs, John.
I have to admit, that the few boxers I’ve known, haven’t been the sharpest tools in the box.
And the dogs aren’t much better!

Can you dig it! (I’ll refrain from the video… It weirded me out when the other one took you to something political.) What was that song anyway… Grazing in the Grass?
Have a thriving Thursday, John. Hugs.

Yes that was the song. Sorry to weird you out. Have a great Thursday. Hugs

Not at all John. It was a good heads up. I never put anything political or religious on my blog, so I value that you let me know. I had no idea that the youtube videos might get hijacked that way. Sunshine super hugs!

They look like they’re up to something in the second picture. Have to respect that they keep trying. Have to wonder if they’d know what to do with a gopher if they found one.

I think the gopher would scare them to death.

I love boxers! (The four legged kind not the two legged kind) We had a brindle with a black face. Wonderful personality!

I’m grateful Dallas isn’t a digger. I guess he’s too busy herding to worry over whatever’s buried underground! Your doggins look like they’re up to something…probably planning where to dig next, right?!

They love to dig. Never in the yard though. Thanks.

Our dog loves to dig. Unfortunately, she doesn’t hit wet sand until she removes, what passes for grass in our yard. She’s trying to dig up a chipmunk – not happening either.

Thanks Hugh. I’m lucky they do all their digging out side the yard.

My dog, Toby, sometimes tries digging up the carpet. However, it could be him just building a nest before settling down to some more must needed sleep.

Our departed Silky Terrier did the same. We then moved into a house with all wooden floors. Had to buy her a bed to dig in. We do miss her. (2 years)

Ah, Lucy and Bailey (my namesake ;)). Such sweet looking pups! It’s a win-win for you: you get to be entertained by them but no animals are injured in the process. Except, do you have to give them baths afterwards? I guess sand wouldn’t be as “dirty” as dirt.

They are good at shaking the sand off. Lots of sand in our house anyway so we hardly notice a little more.
