Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF

Friday.

This has been quite a week. We received over five inches of rain on Tuesday which was a blessing. The tropical storm Hermine took a right turn and is heading to the Southeast. I have to hope those folks in the Southeast are spared any hardships. Reports of heavy rain and the fact that the storm might become a hurricane before landfall make this hope dim. Today’s JohnKu talks about how ordinary things seem until they change.

The sun shines on us,

Never need question it’s there. . .

Till the dark descends.

I refuse to smile until Friday is over. Still plenty of time for the weekdays to get their licks in.

Hmmm… at the risk of offending those who have jobs to go to, for me, everyday is Friday! Lots to smile about… except for hurricanes, of course!

Yes. I still say work is the curse of the drinking class. Thanks, John 🙂

I’ve heard about Hermine on the news. Hopefully it will blow itself out without doing too much damage. Never seen a cat winking before, or does it have only one eye?

It is squinting. (Like a pirate or like Barse in David Copperfield)

Prayers for those folks in the path of Hermine — we know how bad those storms can be, don’t we, John? Lovely JohnKu. Happy almost-weekend to you and yours!
