Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF

This has been quite a week. We received over five inches of rain on Tuesday which was a blessing. The tropical storm Hermine took a right turn and is heading to the Southeast. I have to hope those folks in the Southeast are spared any hardships. Reports of heavy rain and the fact that the storm might become a hurricane before landfall make this hope dim. Today’s JohnKu talks about how ordinary things seem until they change.

The sun shines on us,

Never need question it’s there. . .

Till the dark descends.

  1. Good picture and verses, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

    1. Thanks, Suzanne. 🙂 Happy day to you.

  2. I refuse to smile until Friday is over. Still plenty of time for the weekdays to get their licks in.

    1. Ha ha ha. I think you may be right.:-D

  3. Hmmm… at the risk of offending those who have jobs to go to, for me, everyday is Friday! Lots to smile about… except for hurricanes, of course!

    1. Yes. I still say work is the curse of the drinking class. Thanks, John 🙂

      1. Lol!! You’re such a Wordsmith!!!

  4. Fiery ball in sky
Worshipped by man due to fear
    Uh, oh; religion.

I’m starting to enjoy this game.

    1. Excellent, Dale. I’m happy to provide a prompt. 😀

  5. You make Fridays extra special, John W. Howell…

  6. Riding out Hermine in South Carolina…but hey, at least it’s Friday. Great picture, John!

    1. Be careful. Lots of rain I hear.

  7. I’ve heard about Hermine on the news. Hopefully it will blow itself out without doing too much damage. Never seen a cat winking before, or does it have only one eye?

    1. It is squinting. (Like a pirate or like Barse in David Copperfield)

  8. Prayers for those folks in the path of Hermine — we know how bad those storms can be, don’t we, John? Lovely JohnKu. Happy almost-weekend to you and yours!

    1. Yes. prayers to all today.
