Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy Lament

Lucy

“Hi, Boss.”

“Hi Lucy. What’s up?”

Lucy

“It’s Stella.”

“What about Stella?”

“She’s making faces at me.”

“Bailey?”

Bailey

“Yes?”

“You notice Stella making faces at Lucy?”

“Not sure.”

“Okay, Lucy go get Stella.”

“Here she is.”

Stella and Lucy

“She’s sound asleep.”

“Yeah well before her nap she did it.”

“Describe it.”

Lucy Stella

“She walked out of the room and gave me a look.”

“You weren’t bothering her were you?”

lucy

“Well?”

“I’m thinking.”

“How about you Stella?”

“Well John, I have to admit, every time I try to go somewhere these two hulks are in my way.”

Stella, Lucy, Bailey

“So you did make a face.”

“Yeah, so what? She had it coming. Excuse me while I take some of your water.”

Stella

“We done here?”

Stella

“Boss?”

“Lucy I have a lot of writing to do.”

“That’s it then?”

“That’s it.”

“Not sure what to say, Boss.”

Lucy

That darned cat! I’m sure that were there a feline in my house, the conversations with the dogs wouldn’t be fit for publication. Your boxers are so polite — as are you, Sir.

Thank you Keith. They both learned early in life that chasing the kitty was off limits. (Not that they haven’t wanted to do it)

I’m with Jill…this is one of my favorite postings! And, who wondered if a thriller writer could write a children’s book? Oh, yeah, that was you…. :).

Love the ‘those two hulks’ line. So, Bailey kind of stats out of the drama?

Yes. Bailey was born calm and avoids all of it.

Smart dog. He probably gets extra treats then. 🙂

This is an equal treat opportunity zone. It is almost impossible to hand out a treat to one with out the other. Can you say pester?

Can’t Lucy deal with a little moggy face-pulling on her own? She must have a bark that could send el catto up the curtains.
    Hugs John.Thanks for the smiles.

Aw, Lucy is so precious. Baily and Stella are cute too. Stella looks torn between lapping up a little water and knocking the glass over just so she can see it spill.

How do you get anything done with all this cuteness around, John?? Having a cat at my house would be a nightmare — the poor thing would hiss itself to death … after Dallas herded it into a corner and feasted the evil eye on it!!
