Another Friday with the distinction of the first Friday for 2018. This one came pretty quick given the fact that last Monday was a holiday. I don’t know about you, but this Friday does not feel any different from last Friday. I guess it would be pretty unreasonable to expect to wake up in the new year and have it feel different from last year.
I can say that our weather has taken a turn for the worse so far this year. We have been under the Jack Frost thumb. We don’t expect it to last forever so we’ll hold tight and ride it through. Today’s John Ku talks about hold the course in adversity. I hope you have a great weekend.

Life tends to challenge,
And no one knows why this is . . .
Remember don’t quit.

So far this year has started out with a bang. I love the picture up top. Have a great weekend, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

You’ve caught the mystery of life and the needed response in just a few words. Well done, John. Stay warm and cuddle with your beautiful ladies. 🙂

Hope you have a warmer weekend. Negative temps here thanks to wind chill, so we’re hibernating.

Challenges push us out of our comfort zone and we learn and grow. And NEVER ever quit!! Happy Friday, John!

Life does challenge, but I agree with Jan. Those challenges usually make us grow.
Weird that the week was a short one, but to me it has felt excessively long. I think it’s because of the wretchedly cold weather. Hopefully it’s out of here soon!
Love today’s photo. My brother and his wife had two corgis and would enjoy this.

I thought of the Blues Brothers when I saw that one. Thank you, Mae.

Great advice in your JohnKu!! We, too, have been having frigid weather … lucky for you, yours should let up pretty soon while we’re stuck in this deep freeze for months on end. Sigh.

Yes but you love it there. 🙂

Not really. I’d move in a heartbeat, but I can’t get my aging mom to consider it!

You flatter me, my friend. Let’s just say I’m muddling through as best as I can right now, biding the time when I probably will relocate.

Understood. I’ll keep good thoughts for you.

“Don’t quit!” Those are good words for me to hear at the start of the new year. Things tend to be cyclic for me. Hold the course on that weather thing….we have had some interesting here in FL as well this past year. Stay strong.

Well, the cold weather sounds like an opportunity for sitting by the fire with a good book and a hot toddy. Happy Friday to you, John!

You are so right, Phillip. Since I started my sixth on Jan 2, I can sit by the warm fire and pound out a thousand a day.

It’s already Saturday morning here in Oz! What happened to last week? I hate to rub it in, but it’s Summer down under. We are gearing up for 40 degrees Celsius ( which is around 104 degrees Fahrenheit) My laptop and I will be parked in front of the Aircon today! The word Quit doesn’t exist in my vocabulary. We breed ’em stubborn down here … 😊😊

I know. My Grandfather’s brother settled in Australia. So I have a parcel of relatives living in and around Sydney. They are all tough. When they visit we have to nail everything down and make sure we have Fosters by the keg. They never quit.

I’d not only recommend nailing everything down, my friend. An electrified fence would be a necessity just in case we bring a Kangaroo or two along for the ride … LMAO.😂
