Another work week down. This one was quite chilly. We had temps in the 80’s on Monday. By Wednesday we were in the 30’s, and the schools were closed due to sleet. I think I have said we are not built for this kind of weather. Today is supposed to rain with a high in the fifties. We can use the rain so no complaints here.
The week saw a continuance of editing The Contract with Gwen Plano. We are so fortunate to have some outstanding Beta readers. They have given us meaningful input, and we are sure the story will be better as a result.

I have, pilgrim. I was particularly taken by her sparseness of words to convey feelings. Letting the reader make up most of the story is a lesson in her work. I do the same with my books. In fact, most of the critical comments I receive are about the descriptions of the characters. You see there aren’t any. I want the reader to envision the character in their own way and become integrated in the story. The best compliments I get are along the lines of me telling the reader’s story. I just love that. My last book has the effect of pulling memories and getting reader buy into the point that at the end the reader feels the experience. You know, laughs, cries, anger etc. Thanks for asking Marc.

Perfect JohnKu for this season. Our temps in Branson are finally inching closer to 50 and the snow is beginning to melt. Having grown up on the California desert, I shiver at 70 degrees. 😀

NY hit 50 also–how often does NY and Texas have the same weather? The ups and downs of weather all over the world are a sure sign that the earth is going through it’s cyclic pattern usually every 10, 000 years, so I think we are in for a long time of catastrophic weather events.
