Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy, Lucy, and Bailey Playtime

Twiggy, Lucy, Bailey

“Okay, Dad. Mom got me this terrific toy, and I wonder if Lucy and Bailey want to play.”

“Well, let’s just go up and see.”

“Hey, Boss. What’s this thing you dropped on the floor.”

“That is Frenchie Vanilla. Twiggy’s toy.”

“Frenchie Vanilla, Pops? Pretty cute I would say.”

“Yes, and Twiggy wants to know if you want to play?”

“Woah. Here she comes. You mean play with her don’t, you? Excuse me I gotta dash.”

“Yes, that is exactly what I mean you big chicken.”

“I can play from up here, Pops.”

“I don’t know, Baily. She looks pretty much fun.”

“Hey, Lucy. Got you on the butt. You’reΒ it.”

“Yeah. A lot of fun, Lucy.”

“Okay, Lucy. Bet I can make you blink.”

“Not me, little stuff. I come from a long line of non-blinkers.”

“See, little one. Made you blink.”

“Okay, you win. What’s with Bailey and the couch?”

“She likes her playmates to be a bit bigger. She doesn’t want to hurt you is all.”

“Is that the truth, Dad?”

“I think so, Twiggy. Lucy would know better than me. Go play with her.”

“So Lucy. Want to play hide and seek?”

“Sure. You go hide.”

“How about you Bailey. I’ll be ‘it’ if you want.”

“Well, Twiggy. You promise not to get underfoot?”

“Sure I promise. I’ll spit in my paw and kiss this cover so you know I’m sincere.”

“Good enough for me. Come on Lucy. Let’s go hide. Twiggy count to twenty.”

“One, Two, uh three. Hey Dad.”

“Yes, Twiggy?”

“What comes after three?”

“I think I would sing ‘rock a bye baby’ instead.”

  1. Oh my…I’m in love! That face! Fantastic post, John!

    1. Thank you, Jill. She has a look for sure.

  2. Brave little soul, isn’t she? Take care that she doesn’t declare herself top dog, though; the little ones tend to like to do that!

    1. Too late, Keith. The big ones already know she is at the top of the chain. (Poor babies)

  3. Oh so cute John and such wonderful conversations between them. Little angels.

    1. Thank you , Kamal. πŸ˜€

  4. Gwen Plano · ·

The photo of Bailey looking down at Twiggy is priceless. The story and photos warm my heart, John. So sweet.

    1. Thank you, Gwen. This is now a three ring circus. πŸ˜€

  5. Very cute. Twiggy really seems to have found her niche.

    1. Tasmanian Devil niche.

      1. Real ones or cartoon character

      2. That should have been a question

  6. So delightful! Your pictures somehow match the dialogue perfectly. ‘Love these characters!

    1. Thank you, Ronnie. πŸ˜€

  7. Great interaction there, John.

    1. Thanks, GP. πŸ˜€

  8. ❀ the pic with Twiggy reaching up to talk to Bailey is priceless. Xx

    1. I loved that one myself. Bailey was all, “later kid.”

  9. Reblogged this on Words To Captivate ~ by John Fioravanti and commented:
It’s official – Twiggy Howell has undoubtedly stolen the show! It’s playtime for John W. Howell’s furry kids!

      1. You’re welcome, good sir. Thanks for the great pictures!

  10. Twiggy is so sweet. All the girls are. Glad to see she’s finding her place in the family.

    1. Thank you, Staci. Her place seems to be boss. πŸ˜€

      1. Sounds about right for a little one. πŸ™‚

  11. Oh my, such sweetness rolled into one little pup! It seems as though Lucy and Bailey are adapting to having a little one around. Great photos and dialogue, John!

    1. They are getting used to her. Not totally pleased at the beginning. Thanks, Michelle.

  12. Sooooooo cute. Always a joy, John! Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Natalie. πŸ™‚

  13. Twiggy is sooooo tiny! These three are just precious together. Thanks for another wonderful Thursday post. I always look forward to these.

    1. I’m glad you liked it, Mae. :-D. Thank you.

  14. I love it. Twiggy’s rear end reminds me of Frankie. When they stand up like that they have no tail to keep the skin from rolling back. It’s pretty funny.

    1. It is pretty funny for sure.

  15. Aw, the cuteness factor on this one is way up there, John! Love the angle you’ve photographed the girls in — it really points out how tiny Twiggy is, compared to her big sisters. How big will she eventually get anyway?

    1. She is projected to be about 12 pounds but that could change.

  16. Sooo cute – just oozing sweetness!

  17. You got me wonder …. are Bailey and Lucy teaching Twiggy or is the youngin’ the teacher?

    1. I think the youngin’ is doing the teaching.

      1. Not sure if that’s good or bad.

      2. Well the big ones have to step up and show her the way. So far they just tolerate her youth.

      3. That’s a good thing.

  18. When Scooter was young, I started a post titled: 1 Minute in the Life of a Puppy but it went on for pages, so I changed the title to: 5 Seconds in the Life of a Puppy.

    1. Ha ha ha. I like that.

You got some really cute pictues! I love that Twiggy and her toy are the same size:)

    1. Ha ha ha. That is funny. Thanks, Denise.

Too adorable for words! Gotta lurve the new puppy on the block! πŸ˜€

  21. I’m amazed how gentle they seem to be with Twiggy. My Shepherd is horrible around other dogs. Love Twiggy’s new ice cream toy, so cute!

    1. Thanks, Jacquie. They are very gentle around the house and yard. Not so much with other dogs.

  22. John… thank goodness! I was in dire need of Twiggy therapy! (And i was about to wonder how high she could count. πŸ˜‰ ) This post was a true delight. Hugs!

    1. Thank you, Teagan. She needs to practice her numbers. πŸ˜€

  23. This is absolutely adorable!!

    1. Thank you, Jan. πŸ˜€

  24. LOL Love how you ended this John

    1. Thank you, Andrew. πŸ˜€

  25. Hi John! I love that little pooch. Having a puppy can really keep you on your toes, huh. πŸ˜‰ It’s lovely to see the three of them together.

    1. Yes. Since she likes to bite them and I’m barefoot most of the time. Thanks, Vashti.

  26. It’s so sweet to see these girl getting to know each other. Great photos, John.

    1. Thanks, Dan. πŸ˜€

  27. OMG, such cuteness! No dessert tonight, this is all the sweetness I need.

    1. Aw, Mary. You are pretty sweet yourself. πŸ˜€

  28. If I were there, I’d never get anything done. I’d spend all my time watching those three: laughing at them, and admiring them. Have you found yourself singing, “Getting To Know You”? It sure seems appropriate!

    1. That is a good song for this situation, Linda. Now it is in my head. πŸ˜€

  29. Ah, I love’em – want’em ALL! So delightful. Thanks, John, the ‘Kids’ post here is my favorite! Extra hugs and pets from me, please! β™₯β™₯β™₯β™₯β™₯

    1. I gave them a hug from you. πŸ˜€

      1. Thanks, good John! β™₯

  30. I loved this, John! ❀️

    1. Thank you, Jennie.

      1. You’re welcome!

  31. I hereby nominate Twiggy for “Rookie of the Year”!

    1. ha ha ha. Thanks, Marc.

      1. I loves her. πŸ™‚

      2. Me too.. πŸ˜€

  32. So incredibly cute, John. There is nothing like a baby in the house, is there?

    1. Huh? Excuse me, Robbie but I fell asleep there for a minute. Yes nothing like a baby in the house. (Yawn) πŸ˜€

      1. Tee hee, John. I am so glad I am over those days.

      2. I know what you mean. Thanks, Robbie.

  33. This is the sort of cute/innocence we all desperately need right now, John.

    1. So true. Thanks, Hook

  34. You know, when Twiggy stands up on her hind legs, she kinda resembles Yoda … She’s stolen my heart. Alas, Maxine, Wendy, and Junior would go berserk if another furball (dog or cat) entered our home. My husband and I would probably go berserk too πŸ˜‰

    1. We are berserk. MWAH. πŸ˜€ Thanks, Marie.

  35. So sweet, John. She is adorable. They all are!

    1. Thanks, Cheryl. She is a sweetie and a hand full.

      1. And it’s only just begun. Time for Bailey and Lucy to step up and be good examples.

      2. Lucy already taught her to use her paws in play combat. Bailey is working on teaching her to bark at the UPS man.

    1. Thank you, Traci.

  36. Aww, such a cute post, and Twiggy is adorable, John!

    1. Thank you, Lauren. She is a laugh a minute. πŸ˜€
