Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

“So Friday. You’re here finally. What took you so long?”

Another Friday. Hopefully, your week went well, and you were not too disturbed with the correction in the stock market. I also hope you were not too disappointed with not winning the Mega Millions Lottery. (Well except for that one ticket sold in North Carolina.) I guess we are all happy no one won the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, and we can still dream of winning $700 million plus. The next drawing is Saturday so good luck to us all.

This week has been a bit of a challenge, and I normally wouldn’t share these details, but you have come to know Bailey through this blog. She has not been feeling well, so we are in the process of trying to find out the cause of her symptoms. We have had blood testing and an ultrasound and have narrowed the possibilities. It will in all probability require a cat-scan to rule out the last potential if other treatments do not work.  In the meantime, we are eliminating the other variables as we wait for a cat-scan appointment.

I hope you have a great weekend.

  19. My namesake is not well and my heart aches with the news. These furry ones are indeed family as we need and love them as much as they need and love us. I’ll be praying for you all, praying that you find out what ails her and that it’s an easy fix and she’ll bless our lives for many more years. ❤️

  20. I’m sorry to hear about Bailey, John. I can relate completely with your Haiku. They become part of our families, our lives and we truly love them and when something like this happens it’s worrisome and it hurts. I’m wishing Bailey a speedy recovery, my friend. ❤ xx

  26. All the best for Bailey. I know how attached we can get to dogs. I’ll never forget how I came home from a movie with a friend and found my mother in tears. Our dachshund had quietly passed in his little basket near the fire due to dropsy. My dad was working that 24-hour day on the fire department. Mom just covered the dog over and dad did the necessary when he came home in the morning. We lived in the country and our dogs were buried in the yard. These days vets have more procedures to use. —- Suzanne
