Today Twiggy decided to get involved in the cleaning process. Whether it was curiosity or a Don Quixote move I can’t tell. Let ‘s just follow her and find out.
“So there you are soul sucker.”
“I want you to know I fear no evil.”
“Yeah sure. Come at me if you dare.”
“I hope you know better than to go after my toy.”
“I’m not afraid of no ghost. Excuse me but I need my rest.”
“Hey, Twiggy.”
“Yes, Dad.”
“Could you pick up your toys so I can get that corner?”
“Dad. Do you see an opposable thumb on these paws?”
“Uh, Twiggy. Looks like something followed you in here.”
“Yeah, ignore it. Lucy. It’s Dad doing the vacuuming.”
“I heard you talking to it in the other room.”
“Yeah, I was trying to make up an adventure. Dad spoiled it.”
“What happened?”
“Dad asked me to pick up my toys.”
“Ah. Buzzkill.”
“Well, ladies. I’m finished.”
“Not too soon either, Boss.”
“Maybe next time I can do a Man of LaMancha drama.”
Bet they make house cleaning interesting.

Ah ha …. I didn’t know Twiggy is an aspiring actor. My first thought was Twiggy encountering the dark master – Darth Vader. Too bad she encountered the buzzkill.

My Chocolate Lab likes me to vacuum *him*. He positions himself in front of the vacuum, stretches out and waits. If I stop and run the hose up and down his back a few times, he’s happy. Love these animals!

Great story, Lori. Ours would never tolerate a hose to the back. 😀

It’s crazy, John. He’s a big ninny about almost everything, so one would have expected him to be scared of the vacuum as well, but nope. Absolutely loves it. Would lay there all day if I would indulge him…😂

Cuts down on shedding as well. Hair goes directly to the vacuum

She and Lucy do have a lot of toys. Everytime we decide to cull we pass them by each and the end result is they stay. 😁

My two see the vacuum cleaner as a monster. Your two seem to take ‘the monster’ in their stride, John. A great little story.

Thank you, Hugh. They are pretty tolerent of the vacuum. The deer are another matter.

Twiggy had a pretty intense look going there until you…well, you know, John. Apparently, all the toys need to be spread out so they can find the one they want. At least that’s how it works here. You have two real cuties!

Works the same here. At the end of the day there is a toy or two in every room. Thanks, Dan

That last photo is an absolute killer. The expressions on each of their faces seems to really convey their personalities. I never could have gotten such photos with Dixie Rose. Whenever I turned on the vaccum, she’s head under the bed for the duration.

Made my morning, John. It’s better than having them try to kill the vacuum. That’s what mine do. (And the mixer, and the blender, and the blowdryer…”

Ha ha ha. So you need a private room to run any of those things. I love it. Thanks, Craig. 😄

Love Lucy’s expression in the last photo! The vacuum used to be a source of entertainment for Dallas. He’d chase it and bark like crazy, probably trying to herd it and coming away frustrated. Now, he mostly sighs and moves to someplace where it’s not. There are some advantages in being old (or, as he says, experienced)!
