“So, dad. I thought there would be something cooking by now.”

“Yeah, Boss. Where’s the turkey vibe?”

“We are having a small breast this year. It doesn’t have to start this early”

“But there will be one, right?”

“Yes, not to worry, you two. There will be turkey and all the trimmings. We even have the Steelers on TV today.”

“Well, then we should wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from our house to theirs.”

“I couldn’t have said it better, Twiggy.”

“Thanks, Lucy.”

  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, John. We had hoped to be just down the road in San Antonio for the holidays, but ‘Rona’ had other ideas, so it’s a quiet Thanksgiving at home this year. Hope the kids score a few extra treats! 🦃🍁👍

  12. I’m sure the smaller turkey breast will be just as delicious. Adorable photos! I thought the Texans were playing today. We’ll be watching Dallas v. Washington…always a big rival. Wishing you and your family a peaceful Thanksgiving, John.

      1. The Steelers got moved to Sunday due to Covid. Today will be Houston and Detroit in the first game. Washington and Dallas will play the later game. Yes, football is a Thanksgiving tradition in our house. 🙂

  16. Happy Thanksgiving John. You better save some leftovers for Sunday (the Steelers game was rescheduled due to Covid with BAL players). Give the girls a scritch and enjoy the day. They don’t look like a patient crew.

  23. No matter what’s going on in my life, Twiggy and Lucy always make me smile! I do love their conversations, and I’m sending them a pat on the head from their Granny in Florida. Have a wonderful, if quiet, Thanksgiving, John. We found a 7lb turkey for us, so we’ll still have some nice leftovers. (One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving dinner, and luckily for me, Mark agrees.)

    With all that’s going on to distract us these days, it’s great to take time out to count the many blessings we each have in our lives. Hope yours fill your heart with gratitude today, my friend!
