Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Undecided

“It’s a beautiful day, Little One. Patio time or chase the ball time?”

“Boy. Both good choices.”

“Where d’you go?”

“I can hardly hear you. I’m checking out the ball field.”

“If it were my choice I’d do patio, Lucy.”

“But it is so nice. The temperature is perfect for ball chasing.”

“You know we can even chase the ball in the rain, Lucy.”

“You make a good point. Maybe we should take advantage of the sunshine.”

“Lots of shadows on the patio, now.”

“Looks like maybe we could do ball for a while until the sun clears the trees.”

“Or we could find some sun in the bed over here.”

“Aw, come on, Twiggy. Those stones are like needles.”

“Yeah, I forgot you heavy dogs can’t just walk on anything.”

“Heavy dog? Okay, I’m going to go chase the ball.”

“Wait a minute. You can walk on these smooth stones.”

“I might crush them being so heavy and all.”

“Have fun chasing the ball. I’m going to lay out in the sun.”

“Good for you. I’m going to jog a little. Maybe get some of that fat to go away.”

Twiggy and Lucy

“Man some people are really sensitive. Looks like Lucy has a few body image issues.”

“I can hear you, Little one.”

    Ah yes. I remember sunshine.
Best to walk on the stones – flat or sharp – before the sun has had a chance to make them unbearably hot!

Our sun is so low that heatting the rocks is not an issue this time of year. In fact in the summer Twiggy avoids them. Thanks, Keith.

The girls are wise to soak up those warm rays while they’re available. It’s been surprisingly chilly here in Florida of late….

We have had a cold snap as well, Lori. Nighttimes in the upper 40s. Next week is supposed to get a little chilly. Highs in the 60s.

It’s nice to have a bit of variety, isn’t it? Maybe Lucy and Twiggy need a fire pit in the backyard, too…

We have a fireplace on the patio. Lucy is not fond of it though. (barely tolerates.)

Interesting… I am dying to put in a fire pit here. My crew loved our fireplace in NH…tussled for real estate right in front…so I suspect they would love a warm spot in the yard.

Exercise or lay in the sun? Seems to me there is only one real answer. 🌞 BTW, I love what you and the producer have done with your yard. It looks beautiful.

Those two! I love their bickering…I would opt for laying in the sun. We are a lot colder here – or have been, nights in the high 20s, days in the 50s. Not sure the girls would like that.

John, that tree is really beautiful, perfectly shaped. This was the best moment of “indecision” I’ve ever had. LOL. It’s always fun to spend time with the girls.
They would snooze here today. Very cloudy and maybe even some showers. We haven’t had rain in quite a long time, so that’s exciting. Hugs on the wing.

Delightful canine banter, chasing spheroids, and lazing in the sun. The things those two dogs have to do for some kibbles. Do they pose for these shots ? Or is it quick candid whatever snaps ? Come back here little one we did not get your good side !

How wonderful to see the girls enjoying a sunny day! We’ve had sunny and relatively warm (50s) days this past week, but that’s about to change, with s-n-o-w in the forecast for Tuesday/Wednesday. A pair of squirrels have begun coming by each afternoon to munch on the unshelled peanuts and grapes I’ve been putting out for them, and they delight me!
