Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy and Twiggy in the Yard

Do not talk about those leaves.”

“You mentioned them not me Lucy.”

“Looks like a good day to lay out. Come on down.”

“I’m coming. Don’t see a lot of sun though.”

“Yeah, you are right. There’s no umbrella shadow.”

“But look at the roses, Little One.”

“I’m wondering why there’s no shadow.”

“For one thing the umbrella’s not up. For another, there’s no sun.”

“How can there be no sun?”

“It’s cloudy today. The sun is behind the clouds. Do you see the roses?”

“Yes, I see the roses. They are beautiful. When’s the sun coming back?”

“Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny.”

“Tomorrow. Tomorrow. That’s a whole day away.”

“Been into the Boss’s show tunes again I see.”

“If there is no sun then I can chase after those pesky puma’s and not take on water like the Titanic.”

“Well, that is one way to look at the lack of sun. You go girl.”

  1. Talking to my parents, it doesn’t sound like you’re getting any much-needed rain either. 😟 Caught in a bit of a nether world. At least the girls have their show tunes! 😂

  2. After weeks of Spring, we’ve returned to winter it seems. My poor garden has suffered terribly, but yours looks beautiful, John – sun or no sun. 🌤🌞

  3. Twiggy’s off on another flight of fantasy, I see. I hope she catches a puma one day but I figure she won’t know what to do with it! Lucy is soooo patient with her.

  5. After yesterday’s big winds and slashing rain, today we finally get sunshine. A rather cold sunshine, but at least it’s clear. Love the interchange between your girls — and yes, the roses look gorgeous. Happy Easter to you and yours!

  6. I agree! Look at those roses! And I love how the girls make the best of a cloudy day. It’s easier to chase those pesky pumas when it isn’t so hot. 🙂 Great share, John!

  7. I like the fact your dogs are into the arts.
Annie is still one I really love.
    And many more.
Do they like the 76 trombones marching?

  8. Always a pleasure “listening” to these two!
We’ve had rain, rain and more rain! There is supposed to be sun tomorrow, so there is that! Fingers crossed!

  9. Well, dare I say it but it’s rather sunny and pleasant here in the UK. Lots of shadows too. And the anti fox command centre is running though not very effectively it is true. I hope she does not have any puma relatives wanting a visit. And for you …

Well, I know a bit about show tunes. There’s always that.
