THE MUTT An all-beef Hebrew National doggy with one side of the bun with Detroit chili, the other side with our homeboy queso. The best of both worlds.
Let’s go.
So, here we are, welcomed by the Constable crew.
Check out that ladder.
Forest fighting equipment.
A way to learn how to survive a fire.
The state trooper mounted and k-9 group.
The Colorado River patrol.
Two large EMS vehicles for disaster use. The largest can handle twelve patients.
The Lakeway Police tent.
Drilling equipment for power line restoration.
The game warden organization was represented.
A workshop for the kids to build birdhouses. There is also music, games, and food trucks, but since we brought our own, we can now relax and enjoy the food and music. I hope you have a super week.

I’ll have a rare Jewboy while I try to get on the mounted police with a K-9 accompaniment. (Whoa! Spellcheck sure tried to change the Jewboy!!)

I don’t know what I’d try there but, it would definitely be one of their burgers!
It looks like a great event, both fun and educational!

It was spectacular. They had a life flight helicopter landing but I missed it.

I can’t believe you didn’t choose a song from Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys! This one got quite a bit of play on Houston radio in the early 70s. Satire and humor used to have a place in this country!

I should have because the Jewboy website had Kinky’s picture on the wall. Thanks for the link to Get your Biscuits in the Oven and Buns on the Bed. Too bad satire has been woked out of existence.

Great menu, John. Definitely, a burger but too many choices. I’m ‘ferklemped’ that I can’t decide. Super event and I hope you never need the various services. Johnny Cash, part of the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’, what a talent.

Thanks Steve. Try the plain burger with cheese.

What a great day, John! These people deserve the best possible equipment considering that when disaster strikes, they run toward it. Great photos and Johnny is always a good choice. Oh, and I’ll have The Jewboy. That sounds perfect.

I love crispy latkes so much so I’ll have double helping! These are always good displays and hubby often participated when he was the coxswain of the Life Boat back in Vancouver. Can’t go wrong with Johnny Cash, one of my dad’s favourites.

Another interesting, entertaining, and helpfully important event in your area, John! I’m continually amazed by all that goes on near you, and always enjoy these posts. And is that little baby actually about to get a doggy-back ride???
Thanks for sharing, and have a great Sunday!

I’m genuinely not sure how to take that menu. Didn’t expect it.

The menu is from the restaurant which is a real place.

Interesting. Forgot to see if it’s kosher.

It is not. The restaurant states that on their menu

That raises further questions.

I am mistaken it is not on the menu. It is in a description by a foodie in Austin which reads “The unkosher diner menu centers on burgers and burritos, filled with beef, cheese, hatch green chiles, and even latkes”. Here is a link to the website and a description of the background http://jewboyburgers.com/

Hugs on the wing.

Somebody would have to *push* me up that immense ladder, John!! Can you imagine climbing that thing, especially in a stiff breeze?? Loved the horses and K-9 heroes, and I’m happy to see you had such a pretty day for the exhibition.

A good way to promote all kinds of safety and remind us how we depend on them and often take them for granted. And something for the kids too.

I’ll be passing on the chow. I came late, and now I’m making dinner!

You know, we had a family talk about how weird it is to call something ‘chili’ when there aren’t beans. 😀

You can call it spicy beef soup. No beans in the chili here in Texas or in Detroit.

Very smart idea, dear John. It is never late to learn these practices. A curious fact: EMS in Russia is a sort of a DHL version, an express post delivery that is usually twice slower! than an ordinary one. In case if you need something to be sent from our wild country, please, never use it! And thank you for the delicious treats! 🍤🍤🍤🍻😎
