The trash bin looks like a replica antique ice box a friend of mine had. It was a good storage/decorator item.
I’ll try the Crudo now, thank you.

That cabinet sitting out in the middle of the yard was the most random thing I had seen for a while. Crudo sounds good. 😊

I think they could have given it a more appetizing name.

The sand dollar home is so unusual. I’d love to see the inside. Thanks for the tour, John. Wishing you and the family a peaceful and cool Sunday.

All the best to you today, Jill. I had to use the realtor photo since the trees were so heavy I couldn’t get a good shot. Cool today is 102.

I’m going straight to dessert and will have 2 pieces of coffee cake so I can look like the fat frog which is my fav. The sand dollar house is very unique. Would eclectic describe your neighborhood?
By the way, is your drought a normal seasonal condition or a genuine long term affair?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Most of the homes here are what could be described as “Hill Country” architecture. Made of stone with tile roofs. The three houses I pictured are unique. This drought is not seasonal. It looks like the effect of climate change. We normally have rain in April and May and got very little. We finished the hottest June on record and July looks the same. Not a good thing.

Yes, not good. By the way, how’s Twiggy?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Twiggy has been struggling but is much better now. She came down with a UTI which was a first. We think it was stress related. She also pulled her ACL so she is on a no jumping or running edict. She is happy so we think she is recovering. Thanks for asking.

I really like T-rex and the lamp. Nothing like a bit of whimsy to say “Welcome” to your guests.

I agree. It is a new one too. Thanks, Dan.

Poor rainy day frog. His day will come. I think that mystery one is some kind of serpentine dragon.

That could be a dragon, Charles. Thanks.

It looks like you had to hang off a rope over a cliff to get some of those pictures. I hope The Producer tied the other end securely Nice stuff John

Thanks, Tom. She did tie her end securely. My end? Not so much.

Your neighborhood is full of surprises! My neighborhood has a round “leftover hippie” house, but that’s about it for unusual architecture.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Gotta wonder why a hippy would want a round house.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Because all the cool people had round houses?

What interesting architecture! I’d love to see how the owners managed decorating the circular rooms with square objects! Your neighborhood is smashing. I think the kofta and baklava are in order today.

That would be interesting to see. Thanks, Noelle.

Whoa…while there is some very distinctive architecture found in your neighborhood, I’d probably avoid the Pterodactyl house…that sculpture looks like something from Game of Thrones.

It was suggested that it is a dragon. Enough info for me to stay away.

Yeah, you don’t want to mess with dragons especially those of the Targaryens.

I’d love seeing the insides of the octagon house and the sand dollar house — I can’t imagine how furniture would look in a round room! Poor froggy rain gauge — hope you get some much-needed rain and heat relief soon, John.

I know right? I would like to go inside too. Maybe they will come up for sale then there might be pictures.

The frog rain gauge looks rather sad but ready when rain does come. I like the sand dollar house -good shot. Looks as if was taken from a drone. Thanks for the great brunch!
